Julie and Todd didn’t know they had a granddaughter until Chloe’s mom, Amber, called the couple asking for their help. Kyle was not even sure if Chloe was his, but when Todd first held Chloe, he said, "At that moment, I knew without the DNA test"; within a few months, the Chrisleys had full custody of Chloe.

Anyone who watches "Chrisley Knows Best" has seen the special bond between Todd and Chloe, and he stood up for her when she received racist comments on social media. Todd said, "we, as a white couple in America, have never dealt with racism until Chloe [...] we needed to be changed. We needed to be able to use our platform to help those who may not have a voice."

Todd and Kyle have also rekindled their relationship, which allowed Kyle to be a dad to Chloe and spend more time with his family. Kyle was very grateful to be welcomed back into his family’s life with open arms, and when speaking about his dad, he said, "I will be forever grateful for his love [and] graciousness."
