What We Know About Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos' Relationship

First Sight
As co-stars on "All My Children," Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos knew they were meant to be. Their casting director had been searching for Ripa's love interest for quite some time, so when she showed her his headshot, she knew they'd have chemistry and saw her future flash before her eyes when they met.
Break Up
In 1995, the off-and-on couple appeared on "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee" to surprise fans for the Mom's Dream Come True Special, but the two wouldn't talk to each other. As soon as the stars heard the mother's story, they realized their argument was meaningless, and Consuelos asked Kelly to marry him that same night.
Eloped
The day after their engagement, a limo picked up Ripa and Consuelos, and they wed in a little chapel in Las Vegas. Ripa carried plastic flowers and wore a white dress she'd bought five years prior at a Barney's warehouse sale, and for their 20th anniversary, she put it back on and posed for a photo with her hubby.
Honeymoon
Their honeymoon was a romantic, weeklong stay in Capri, Italy, but Ripa and Consuelos haven't shared much more information on the trip. To this day, they're apparently still banned from the hotel they stayed in — though they haven't stated why. "It was worth it," Mark teased.
The Rings
As it was such a quick wedding, they didn't have any rings to exchange at the altar, and it wasn't until 10 years later that Consuelos finally put a ring on it. "It must have been making him feel a certain way that I didn't have a ring," Ripa said, "So for our 10th anniversary we bought me a ring."
