With the death of Queen Elizabeth II, all eyes are on King Charles III and his family, including his wife Camilla Parker Bowles, who is now queen consort. Camilla's two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, will not be receiving titles or security, but will be in the spotlight — here's everything we know about Tom.
Tom has a career as an award-winning food critic and writer, and has written seven cookbooks, winning the Guild of Food Writers in 2010 for "Full English: A Journey Through the British and Their Food." He has written food reviews for UK publications including The Mail on Sunday and GQ, and was once the food editor for Esquire.
Tom married fashion editor Sara Buys in 2005, and his entire family attended the wedding, including step-brothers Prince William and Prince Harry; unfortunately, the couple split up in 2018. Even more tragically, Tom dated journalist Alice Procope for two years until she passed away from cancer in 2021.
A friend of Tom's told the Daily Mail, "Tom had been blissfully happy with Alice and is devastated". Since then, Tom and his ex-wife have focused on their children, Lola and Freddy, and Tom is close with his mother, stepfather, and step-brothers. Tom even says that he was once a bad boy who "partied a bit hard," but Charles set him straight.
