Why Donald Trump's 2023 Medical Report Raised Major Concerns

Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recent physician's letter has raised questions about his choice of doctor, the timing of the release, and his reported health habits.
In 2015, a similar report assured he would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency." In 2018, that doctor said Mr. Trump had dictated the letter.
While Trump’s physician, Dr. Bruce Aronwald, D.O., is close to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, some question why he didn’t choose someone nearer to his home in Florida.
While not divulging his test results, Dr. Aronwald’s report says they are "within the normal range," and claims that Trump's "cognitive exams were exceptional."
The letter was released on Joe Biden's 81st birthday, perhaps to support Trump's oft-repeated claim that he's in better physical and mental shape than the current president.
On CNN the day before, Republican challenger Ron DeSantis said being president wasn't "for somebody that is pushing 80." The letter offered a swift rebuttal of these concerns.
Like the 2015 letter, the report mentions that Trump has lost weight, attributed to an "improved diet and [...] daily physical activity while maintaining a rigorous schedule."
Some noted surprise given Trump’s known love of fast food. In 2015, he told The New York Times Magazine that speaking at his campaign rallies is one of his forms of exercise.
