Normal Career
Kate Middleton studied art history at St. Andrews University, and held two normal jobs after her graduation. Kate could no longer pursue a normal career after marrying Prince William, but she could still put her degree to good use by supporting the Art Room Charity and curating a photography exhibit in 2020.
Royal Duties
Kate took on a whole new set of duties as Duchess of Cambridge, which mostly included "carrying out Royal duties both at home and overseas." Over the years, Kate really stepped into her role by taking on more patronages, mostly in the areas she's truly passionate about like those concerning children and art.
Designer Clothes
Once Kate became a Duchess, her wardrobe saw a major spike in price, frequently being spotted wearing Alexander McQueen or Emilia Wickstead during royal events. She once made headlines for wearing a $1,300 Gucci shirt to a children’s event in London.
Dress Code
Kate has some limitations on her love of fashion, including the wearing of tiaras, keeping her fingernails natural or unpolished, and keeping hemlines below the knee. Some rules are simply rules because of the queen's dislike of that item, like wedge shoes.
Jewelry Collection
The royal family has gifted Kate with expensive jewelry, including her engagement ring, which features a 12-carat oval sapphire from the mid-19th century that originally belonged to Princess Diana. Kate’s first of many gifts from Prince William was a rose gold Victorian ring he gave her in university that she later wore for graduation.
