The Best Dressed Stars At The 2018 Grammys

The music industry's very best came out to celebrate the 2018 Grammy Awards in New York City on Sunday, January 28, 2018. But just like previous award shows this season, it wasn't all about the glitz and glam as celebs hit the red carpet. With the Time's Up initiative in full effect, many stars donned white roses to make a statement while bringing their fashion A-game, expressing solidarity with the fight against sexual harassment and inequality in the workplace. Here are the best dressed stars at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson looked stunning in her custom black and gold-embroidered Christian Siriano gown. The "Love So Soft" singer, who received a nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance, was all smiles as she proudly posed with a white rose on the red carpet.

"We had the dress planned before the white rose thing came up, so I went, 'I'll carry it romantically,'" the 35-year-old hitmaker told Entertainment Tonight. "It is something that happens not only in the music industry, or in the film industry. It happens everywhere, even with my friends who have 'normal' jobs. And I think that's the whole reason."

Clarkson continued, "It's not like we're trying to beat a dead horse, we're trying to challenge people and keep it relevant and in constant thought."

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus rocked an elegant yet edgy look with her vintage black Jean Paul Gaultier jumpsuit, complete with a white rose and sparkly heeled sandals. The 25-year-old kept her fans up to date on music's biggest night, sharing a number of snapshots and videos from the red carpet on social media, which she naturally captioned with the hashtag, "#BitchIsBack."

While the "Malibu" singer wasn't up for an award, she and Elton John performed a beautiful duet of his classic song "Tiny Dancer." Following the performance, Cyrus took to Twitter to gush about the music legend.

"Sir Elton John, I can't thank you enough for giving me the honor of performing with you tonight at The Grammys!" she wrote. "I've loved every moment I've spent with you over the years & will cherish each second of your kindness. Let's kick a** and keep fighting for an end to the AIDS epidemic!"

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monáe is known to rock her signature black-and-white suit instead of a gown. And the "Q.U.E.E.N." singer looked gorgeous as ever while opting for a more colorful, floral Dolce & Gabbana tux. She paired the more embellished look with a simple black bow tie, Time's Up pin, and Jennifer Fisher earrings.

The six-time Grammy nominee had a big night, making headlines with her passionate Time's Up speech while introducing Kesha's empowering performance of "Praying."

"We come in peace but we mean business, and to those who would dare try and silence us, we offer you two words: Time's Up," she said (via The New York Times). "We say time's up for pay inequality. Time's up for discrimination. Time's up for harassment of any kind. And time's up for the abuse of power."

Monáe continued, "Because, you see, it's not just going on in Hollywood, it's not just going on in Washington, it's right here, in our industry, as well."

Camila Cabello

Camila Cabello nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet, but the former Fifth Harmony singer looked flawless in a silk satin Vivienne Westwood couture gown. She paired her scarlet dress with a loose updo, disco ball purse, white rose pin, and glittery Bulgari earrings. "I try to channel the flamenco emoji for as many events as possible," she joked on Twitter.

In addition to joining Kesha and dozens of other female musicians for a powerful rendition of "Praying," the "Havana" singer delivered a powerful plea on behalf of DREAMers while introducing U2.

"I'm here on this stage tonight because, just like the DREAMers, my parents brought me to this country with nothing in their pockets but hope," she said (via Billboard). "They showed me what it means to work twice as hard and never give up. And honestly no part of my journey is any different from theirs."

Cabello continued, "I'm a proud Cuban-Mexican immigrant, born in Eastern Havana, standing in front of you on the Grammy stage in New York City, and all I know is, just like dreams, these kids can't be forgotten and are worth fighting for."

Ben Platt

Ben Platt looked dapper as ever in his dark green plaid Valentino suit. He completed his chic look with a maroon button-up, Time's Up pin, and Chopard jewelry.

It was an incredible night for the 24-year-old, who won his first Grammy as Dear Evan Hansen took home the trophy for Best Musical Theater Album. The Tony Award winning actor, now halfway to the coveted EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), also received a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd following his powerful rendition of "Somewhere" from West Side Story, which he sang in honor of Leonard Bernstein. Oh, and Twitter basically lost its collective mind.

Afterward, Platt tweeted, "Thank you all for your kind words. An incredibly surreal night. Thank g-d for singing!"

Pink

Pink went for a bright and bold look that may have seemed risky to some, but she totally rocked her Armani Privé gown, which boasted pink, blue, and black feathers, a thick black belt, and pinned-on white rose.

Prior to the event, the "What About Us" singer shared an adorable snapshot of herself with husband Carey Hart and children Willow Sage and Jameson Moon. "Family Portrait #grammys," she wrote in the caption.

The three-time Grammy winner may not have taken home the award for Best Pop Solo Performance, but she left her mark on the stage with an emotional rendition of "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken." During the song, the 38-year-old pop star ditched her both her elaborate gown and penchant for aerial acrobatics for a simple white tee and jeans to match her more understated performance.

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey channeled the 1970s and looked angelic as she hit the red carpet in her custom cream-colored Gucci gown. The "Summertime Sadness" singer rocked the billowy sleeves, high-thigh slit, and silver-starred embroidery of her silk dress, which she accessorized with a matching star crown and white rose corsage.

Following the big night, the four-time Grammy nominee, who was up for Best Pop Vocal album, shared a selfie on Twitter, which she simply captioned, "Grammys."

Donald Glover

Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, dazzled in an all-white Ermenegildo Zegna couture tux. He completed the silk ensemble with a white satin bow tie and black velvet Tod's loafers.

It was certainly a huge night for the multi-talent. In addition to winning the award for Best Traditional R&B Performance, the Atlanta star performed an incredible rendition of "Terrified."

With a pair of Emmys and now a Grammy under his belt, Glover moved one step closer to scoring the EGOT. "[That's] a little scary. There's a lot of pressure ... 'Now you got to get an Oscar.' That's a lot of work," he told the NY Daily News after the high-profile event. "But I believe in expression, so I think it'd be cool but it's not what I'm aiming for. But if it happens, it happens."

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen shined at the Grammys while showing off her baby bump in her silver-sequin maternity-styled gown by Yanina Couture. Its glamorous split sleeves, shimmery belt, and stylish front slit created a flashy look, which was paired nicely with the model's clutch, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and natural hair and makeup.

After hitting the red carpet with husband John Legend, who wore an elegant navy tux, the Lip Sync Battle host announced the gender of their second child on Instagram. "Mama and her baby boy," she captioned a photo of herself from the event. Congratulations!

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga certainly set the bar high for the evening, arriving early on the red carpet in an extravagant long-sleeved black Armani Privé gown. Accentuated by a lace bodysuit and a skirt that went on for days, the pop star accessorized her already iconic look with gorgeous Lorraine Schwartz earrings, platform boots, and a pinned-on white rose.

In addition to being nominated for two awards, Gaga performed a touching medley of "Joanne" and "Million Reasons" early on in the night. "This is for my father's late sister, Joanne," she said before launching into the first ballad (via People). "This is for love and compassion even when you can't understand." Between the two songs, Gaga briefly paused to say, "Time's up."
