All The Terrible, No-Good Things Clyde Weston Has Done On Days Of Our Lives

"Days of Our Lives" fans have seen their fair share of villains over the years. The Peacock soap opera has been full of people who have tried to bring others down, orchestrate shocking crimes, and more. In fact, some of Salem's most beloved characters have been villains at one time or another. Characters such as Victor Kiriakis, Xander Cook, Kate Roberts, Sami Brady, Kristen DiMera, Andre DiMera, Gabi Heranandez, Ben Weston, and Vivian Alamain have all had their evil moments (via Nine). However, the biggest and best "Days of our Lives" villain has always been Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). During his reign of terror, Stefano found a way to hurt nearly everyone in Salem, including his own children at times, per Soaps.

Following Stefano's death, other villains emerged. The villain known as Orpheus returned to Salem to cause chaos, and even Clyde Weston couldn't keep himself out of trouble after moving to town to reunite with his family, per Soaps in Depth.

Looking back at all of Clyde's evil deeds may surprise some fans, who might not realize all of the destruction he's caused in Salem over the years.

Clyde went from abusive father to drug lord

When Clyde Weston (James Read) was first introduced to Salem, he was revealed as the abusive father of Jordan Ridgeway and Ben Weston. Fans quickly learned that Clyde was such an awful father that Jordan and Ben ran away from home to escape his abuse (via Soap Central). After moving to Salem permanently, Clyde warned Jordan not to interfere with his relationship with Ben, and then promptly began working for EJ DiMera's drug ring. Clyde later betrayed EJ and had him shot and killed so that he could take over the drug operation. Following the big move, Clyde engaged in a feud with Victor Kiriakis, who had Clyde shot. Clyde got his revenge by stabbing Victor's nephew Sonny Kiriakis before the two men finally called a truce, per Soap Hub.

Eventually, Clyde's drug operation was brought down by the Salem police department and sent to prison, per Soaps in Depth. In 2016, Clyde met Orpheus behind bars and the two teamed up along with Xander Cook to plan a daring escape. The trio busted out of prison and returned to Salem to wreak havoc on their enemies, where Clyde accidentally shot Abe Carver.

Clyde was eventually sent back to prison, and later met up with his son, Ben, who was in jail for murdering his sister, Jordan. Clyde wanted to help Ben escape due to the fact that he was innocent, and was happy when Ben was eventually cleared of the charges.

Clyde was revealed as Abigail Deveraux DiMera's murderer

Clyde Weston was later released from prison and returned to Salem for the wedding of his son Ben Weston and Ciara Brady. During this time, Orpheus also resurfaced and asked Clyde to help him kidnap Allie Horton's son, Henry. When a resurrected EJ — who was brought back to life by Dr. Rolf — found himself behind bars with Clyde, he finally remembered that Clyde was the man who had him shot. Eventually, EJ and Clyde were both freed and Clyde convinced Roman Brady to give him a job at the Brady Pub, per Soaps in Depth.

Clyde began dating Nancy Wesley and the two even got engaged. However, Salem was turned upside down when Abigail Deveraux DiMera was shockingly murdered in her bedroom at the DiMera mansion. There were many suspects in the murder, and when Sonny Kiriakis was stabbed in the back, the focus returned to Clyde. It was later revealed that Clyde had killed Abby after she caught him sneaking through the mansion looking for Belle Black Brady, who was his real target (via Soap Hub). Chad and EJ DiMera cornered Clyde and shot him, but he survived the attack and returned to prison.

Although Clyde is currently off the canvas again, it seems that it's only a matter of time before he returns to Salem to get revenge on his enemies and cause more chaos for the residents of the town.
