If you want to set health and wellness goals for yourself but don't want to commit to such strict rules, there is a new, kinder version.

The 75 Soft Challenge is a gentler, easier alternative that is more accessible for everyone. For some, the 75 Hard Challenge is too demanding and restrictive, which is why many are opting for this realistic option. Unlike the 75 Hard Challenge, which has five rules, there are only four rules to follow in the Soft Challenge.

The first two rules focus on diet

The first two rules of the 75 Soft Challenge focus on your diet. The first rule is to eat well and drink only on social occasions. You won't have to worry about completely restricting your diet or counting calories, as there is no specific diet to follow so long as you eat well. Instead, you can focus on eating intuitively and nourishing your body. Unlike the 75 Hard Challenge, you don't have to completely give alcohol up either and can enjoy it during social occasions. 

Another rule of the Soft Challenge is to drink at least three liters of water per day. Experts agree that along with keeping you hydrated, there are many health benefits to drinking three liters of water per day. According to Healthline, some benefits include preventing kidney stones, helping fix bowel irregularities, improving your mood, soothing headaches, and strengthening your physical performance.

Self-growth is an important part of this challenge

The last two rules focus on self-growth and development. One of the rules is to train 45 minutes a day and to allow yourself one day off per week to recover. With this rule, you can easily fit in 45 minutes of exercise into each day in home workouts or at the gym to help improve your physical health. According to the Mayo Clinic, you should work out at least 30 minutes every day to keep yourself in good shape.

The last rule of the challenge is to read 10 pages of a book each day. This rule focuses on helping boost your mental health and well-being with just 10 pages of reading, which is an easy goal that anyone can reach each day. By improving your cognitive function, you'll help boost your overall mental wellness.
