15 Facts About Twin Sisters And Unsellable Houses Stars Lyndsay Lamb And Leslie Davis

Viewers first met identical twins and real estate dynamic duo Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis when their now-hit series, "Unsellable Houses," premiered on HGTV in 2019. The show features the sisters, who, according to an official network press release, "are among the top-selling real estate agents in the Pacific Northwest," as they use their expertise in design and the local real estate market to help their clients quickly sell their homes. In fact, the two are so good at what they do that they even invest some of their own money to make it happen for these frustrated homeowners. Since the show's premiere, the audience couldn't get enough of these two, especially their natural on-screen chemistry and silly banter just by being themselves and sharing what they know best: real estate and each other.

The twins are like the female version of the Property Brothers — Lyndsay, the brunette with the bangs, is the design expert and the creative one, while Leslie, the blonde, is the more practical, money-minded twin who handles the business side.

If you've wondered how "Unsellable Houses" came about, what the twins' work is really like away from what we see on TV, or more about the sisters' close relationship, you've come to the right place. Follow along as we share 15 facts about twin sisters and "Unsellable Houses" stars Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis.

They were discovered from YouTube

The stars of HGTV series all have a different story of how they landed a show with the network, whether it's through submitting an audition tape, having a personal connection, being social media influencers, or competing on a network competition show. While never quite labeled "social media influencers," Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis owe their HGTV success to their YouTube videos.

According to a Q&A the twins published to their blog, High Noon Entertainment, the production company for shows that include "Fixer Upper" and "Cake Boss," contacted them in 2017 after seeing their YouTube videos where the two perform karaoke while driving in their VW wagons — and liking what they saw. "After seeing a few of our YouTube videos, [High Noon Entertainment] approached us with an idea," Lyndsay explains on the twins' blog, adding, "Apparently, word got out that we had a lot of 'character'!" She goes on to say, "At first, we thought they were joking, or someone had set us up on a prank show, but it was the real deal and here we are two seasons later!"

Their mother didn't know she was having twins at first

You tend to assume that when a woman is pregnant with twins, she's well-aware she's carrying two babies. Apparently, this was not the case for Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb's mother. While well-aware of her pregnancy, delivering a second baby shortly after the first came as quite a shock to her! Lyndsay shares the scoop on the twins' blog in a Q&A for their fans, writing, "A really fun fact about us is that our mom, Nanna, had no idea she was even having twins! I was born first, and then a few minutes later she was shocked by Leslie! However, we could not imagine life without each other!"

The twins appear to be super close with their mom, posting loving photos with her on Mother's Day. In 2021, Lyndsay posted a pic to Instagram of her and Leslie giving their mom a hug and kiss on her special day. Alongside the photo, she wrote, "Happy Mother's Day Mom! I am thankful for you every day, but I love getting to spoil you a little extra today!"

They are mirror-image twins

In the same August 2021 Q&A to their blog, twins Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis answered a fan's question, which was whether the two really are twins. In response, Lyndsay writes, "Yes! We really are twins!" She goes on to explain how people had a tough time telling them apart when they were little, though that's not such a problem now that they're older. "As we got older we have gotten our unique styles! I have my signature bangs while Leslie has her blonde hair." As for their natural hair color, the two are natural brunettes.

You've likely heard of identical twins and fraternal twins, but what about mirror-image twins? Twins who are mirror images of each other share certain physical characteristics which are obvious to someone when looking at their reflection in the mirror. Well, Lyndsay and Leslie are, in fact, mirror-image twins, so, when they look at one another, it's as if they are looking at their own reflection.

They both married their high school sweethearts

In addition to being mirror images of one another, Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis of HGTV's "Unsellable Houses" met their husbands around the same time. Both met husbands Justin Lamb and Jacob Davis while in high school in Snohomish, Washington, and both twins apparently married their high school sweethearts about a year apart. On April 12, 2021, Leslie celebrated her 19th wedding anniversary, writing on Instagram alongside a photo of her and Jacob at a football game, "Happy 19 years to my husband."

On September 1, 2022, Lyndsay celebrated 21 years of marriage. On Instagram, she captioned a photo of her and Justin, "21 years of loving you! From high school sweethearts to now, there is no one I would rather have." On January 19, 2023, the twins posted throwback photos from their senior prom to Instagram, and, we have to say, we can't tell the two apart! Interestingly, not only did Justin and Jacob date (and later marry) twin sisters, but they also were roommates during college!

A family tragedy led to the twins' business partnership

While we know how Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb's HGTV adventure began, we're curious how their real estate business, Lamb & Co., came about. The story begins in 2009 when Lyndsay started her real estate business. But, by 2013, her son, Miles, fell ill with cancer, after which Lyndsay spent most of her time caring for him, unable to devote much time to the business. This is when twin sister Leslie entered the picture, obtaining her real estate license and taking over the business temporarily. Lyndsay eventually returned after Miles went into remission, and everything else, as they say, is history.

This backstory is also why the business is called Lamb & Co., as Leslie explains in a Q&A the twins posted to their blog. "First, Lamb is just a way cooler name than Davis," she writes. "The second reason is that Lyndsay started real estate first! When Lyndsay started her business was called Lyndsay Lamb Real Estate. After we became a business partnership, we changed our name to Lamb & Co. and haven't looked back since!"

They were born in Ohio but grew up in Washington state

Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis seem to know the Pacific Northwest quite well. That's because they've lived in the area a long time. When a fan asked if they are actually from Snohomish, Washington, Lyndsay responded via their blog, "We were born in Ohio, but we have grown up in Snohomish! We graduated from Snohomish High School, met our husbands here, and now are raising our families here!"

It turns out that the twins long had desires to start a life for themselves in the community. "We remember walking First Street as kids, and always dreamed of having a store here! Fast forward a few years later, and we did it!" Lyndsay writes, adding, "Snohomish will always be our home. We love the community, the area, and we love the memories we have here."

"Unsellable Houses" does a great job of highlighting the twins' passion for their hometown, with shots of area beaches and back roads. The first season features homes in nearby Everett, Bothell, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, and Marysville, Washington. The sisters are equally as passionate about giving back to the community they love so much, something they have shared on their TV series. For example, they have raised money for Seattle Children's Hospital and the Snohomish County Food Bank.

Their company includes a brick-and-mortar store

Speaking of said store, Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis' childhood dream of having their own store on First Street in their hometown of Snohomish, Washington, eventually became a reality after launching a successful real estate business. Their 4,000 square-foot storefront, Lamb & Co., offers a wide selection of kitchen and dining, lifestyle, and home decor items, everything from vases and bowls to pots and pillows, which align with the twins' cozy, earthy aesthetic. Lifestyle items even include Lamb & Co. t-shirts and other merchandise.

The Lamb & Co. website even has a section devoted to all things seen on HGTV's "Unsellable Houses," helping you find that perfect item you saw on TV! While an assortment of items is available for sale online, you'll find even more in person. "We have people ask us all day long where things are from," Leslie said in an interview with HeraldNet. "The whole point of the show is to give sellers and buyers knowledge on how to improve their own homes to get money back out." Now you know!

The Unsellable Houses stars are both moms of sons

Yet another thing that twin sisters and "Unsellable Houses" stars Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis have in common is that they are both the moms of boys. Lyndsay has one son, Miles, with husband Justin Lamb, while Leslie is mom of three boys, Kyler, Cash, and Cole, with husband Jacob Davis. The twins told HeraldNet of Everett, Washington, that their sons help out with their home renovation work. "They keep asking how much camera time they are going to get," one sister said. "We can't pay them in kisses like we used to," the other quipped.

It's clear the twins are both devoted to their boys and spend as much time with them as they can. "When not working, my husband Jacob and I love to cheer on our boys Kyler, Cash, and Cole at their sports games," Leslie says on their company website, while Lyndsay shares, "My husband and son are my people ... I don't care what I am doing, working on, or enjoying at the time ... it is pretty much a given I would rather be hanging out with them!"

Their families spend time together on the weekends

It's clear from watching HGTV's "Unsellable Houses" that entrepreneur twins Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis are super close. As it turns out, their families are also close and spend a lot of time together on the weekends hanging out. As Leslie explains on their Lamb & Co. blog, the two "are all about family." "We know this is going to shock you all, but on the weekends we love to hang out together!" she says. "Our boys, husbands included, love to ride dirt bikes, while we take long walks. All the boys are very involved in sports so we are usually carting them around from different games or matches!"

This is also obvious from taking a lot at the twins' Lamb & Co. Instagram feed or their individual Instagram feeds for that matter. Whether they're cheering on their boys at their games or visiting the local sights and taking in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, the Lamb and Davis bunch are often doing it together.

The twins are obsessed with retro Volkswagens

If you've watched an episode of "Unsellable Houses," you've likely seen Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis toting around their stuff in a classic Volkswagen station wagon. Retro VWs are, in fact, a favorite pastime of the twins. Lyndsay and husband Justin Lamb love to buy and sell these classic VWs.

The sisters love documenting their passion for these classic cars on their Instagram feeds, and, we have to admit, these retro autos certainly make for very Instagrammable pics. In addition to the photo above of Lyndsay and Leslie posing by their retro VW wagon, Beetle, and Beetle convertible, the two are seen posing in front of their white Beetle with red pinstripe and posing by the front of a decorative VW wagon created just for their store, Lamb & Co. Occasionally, we even get a glimpse of the interior, as is the case with this pic from December 2019.

They both love dogs

Successful realtors and home renovators Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis of HGTV's "Unsellable Houses" are all about family — which includes their fur babies as well. The twin sisters are dog lovers, as evidenced by many of the photos they post to their individual and joint Instagram accounts. Leslie has a Boston terrier named Mookie, while Lyndsay loves her rat terrier, Remo. We're sure the pups are just as close as the rest of the Lamb-Davis crew.

In the photo above, for example, Lyndsay and Leslie are joined by their dogs while going for a stroll on the beach (more on this in a bit). On April 14, 2023, Leslie shared a double dose of cuteness when she posted a pic of her youngest son and her pooch, Mookie. In the caption, she wrote, "Came across this one with my babies. I can't believe how big they are now." Likewise, Lyndsay also includes Remo in her social media posts, such as one from March 2023 when she shared an adorable pic of her holding her pup over her shoulder. "Had to show a little puppy love on my account too!" she captioned the photo.

The beach is their happy place

Many of the photos that twin sisters Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis share on social media show them at one of their favorite places: the beach. And, with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and its rocky shoreline, can you blame them?

On their Lamb & Co. website, Lyndsay shared that the beach is her special place, writing, "When I'm not on the job, I love to be involved in my community and retreat to the beach with my husband Justin, son Miles and pup Remo." In addition to this photo of the twins walking their dogs along the shore, Lyndsay shared a photo to Instagram of herself, husband Justin Lamb, and son Miles strolling the shore in February 2020. Alongside the pic, she wrote, "Family + the beach. All I'll ever need!" And, in October 2022, Leslie shared a throwback photo to Instagram of her and Lyndsay posing at the beach while filming the first season of "Unsellable Houses." Surely, it's a special place to her, too!

What you see is what you get with these two

We're sure that the bubbly twosome are just as friendly and approachable in real life as they appear on screen, something that Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb's fans no doubt love about them. In fact, people from all walks of life and all occupations enjoy watching HGTV shows. The "Unsellable Houses" stars know this firsthand just from bumping into some of their fans. For example, the twins were once in Colorado when a fan suited up in uniform happily approached them. "One time we had a police officer recognize us and get all giddy and go running across the room yelling, 'It's you, it's you.' And insist on taking a picture with us. He was completely suited up in his uniform," Lyndsay shared with HeraldNet.

Interestingly, they've been asked if the show is scripted. "The show is just us being us. Our staff always joke about how they get asked what we are like 'off-camera' and they always reply with 'just like they are on!'" Leslie says in a post to the twins' blog. "We are so passionate about our show being a true representation of what we are like off-camera, and there are always times we look back when the episode airs and laugh at the weird way we pronounce something or odd way of explaining it, but the show is also us, and we love that!"

The twins love supporting other local shops

We know that Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb love to highlight the beauty and charm of their hometown of Snohomish, Washington, on "Unsellable Houses." This love for everything local also extends to their shopping preferences. When answering a fan's question regarding where she and her sister shop for clothes in a Q&A posted to their blog, Lyndsay answered, "Honestly, we just like what we like and are not very picky with the label behind it, but we do tend to shop locally as much as possible." She added, "We love to shop in town at Joyworks and Edit, or larger retailers like Nordstrom, Free people, and Anthropology. It really just comes down to what we are looking for on any given day."

When Lyndsay mentions "shop[ping] in town," she's usually referring to First Street, a charming street in downtown Snohomish with lots of cute boutiques, some which carry vintage pieces. First Street is also the location of their own storefront for Lamb & Co.! The two love supporting the local boutiques Lyndsay mentions as well as others including Olive & Bloom Co. Such a delightful-sounding street!

They never go long without speaking

Twin sisters Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis elaborate on their sisterly bond on their website. "As sisters, we naturally have a strong connection, but as twins it is crazy in a good way. We didn't always have the same taste in music, food, or even in boys growing up, but we have always had each other's back," they write. "As a twin, there is an indescribable connection and loyalty to one another. You can dislike me but don't you dare talk negative about my twin."

So, we were curious: Do they ever fight? And, what was the longest they ever went without speaking? "We are together every day, so don't get us wrong, we definitely get on each other's nerves, but we hardly ever fight," Leslie says on their blog. "When we do, we are very fast to make up, and we are so thankful for not only having each other as sisters and twins but as best friends!" While they do admit that they "argue once in a while" and "push each other's buttons," it turns out that they've never gone without speaking for longer than a day. "It was the worst—like really, really bad," adds the twins. While we have no idea what the fight was about, we can just imagine how happy they were to make up!
