The Stunning Transformation Of Brielle Biermann

When Brielle Biermann first appeared on Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) in October 2008, she was just 10 years old. The daughter of Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Biermann was thrust into the limelight to live out her awkward teenage years while the world got to watch — and judge — her literally grow up on television. Biermann's life would eventually become even more exposed when her family became the subject of the 2012 RHOA spin-off series, Don't Be Tardy. Soon, she would blossom into the show's breakout star.

In a February 2019 interview with 11Alive, Biermann described growing up on reality TV saying, "Growing up on reality TV... it's kind of like, just my life now. I don't even know what life was like before. ...I've been on TV since I was 10. So, I don't think I would want my life any other way. I feel like it'd be very boring." Whether you love her or hate her, Biermann has made a name for herself within the entertainment business. Read on to find out more about the stunning transformation of Brielle Biermann.

She got it from her mama

Brielle Biermann wouldn't be where she was today if it wasn't for her wise-cracking, no-nonsense mother, Kim Zolciak-Biermann. The feisty blonde bombshell had Biermann when she was 18 years old, and raised her as a single parent. The proud mom shared a throwback photo to Instagram on Biermann's 21st birthday, gushing about how excited and nervous she was to welcome her daughter — who she refers to as, "My side kick, My heart, My strength, My pride and joy, My best friend" — into the world as a teen.

Always supporting each other, Biermann and mom Kim have an unbreakable bond. The mother daughter duo look more like sisters these days, and Biermann has boasted about how she can confide in her mother like a sister or friend. During this October 2016 interview with Perez Hilton Biermann explained to her mom, "I also don't think a lot of parents are as accepting as you are. I know some of my friends can't go to their mom and... talk about certain things. Me — and all my friends –talk to her too. You're not, like, a mom. You're like a friend."

Dressed to kill at NYFW

While Brielle Biermann is a cool and confident adult now, she once was a shy, awkward teenager trying to find her purpose in life. The reality star had, at one time, aspired to be a model, and in 2013 when she was just 16, she got to walk the runway during New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Biermann made her fashion debut walking the runway in the Tumbler and Tipsy for Michael Kuluva show. Sporting a shirt that read "Pretty Lil B*tch," a topknot, and fierce smize, the teen strutted down the catwalk like she owned it.

Proud mama Kim praised her daughter for making one of her dreams come true, tweeting, "Just saw a video of Brielle Zolciak walking the catwalk. I cried my eyes out! I'm soooo proud of you Elle!!!" Biermann hasn't walked another runway since the 2013 show, but she has been a fixture in the audience at several NYFW shows ever since.

Bullies made high school hard

As Don't Be Tardy viewers can attest to, Brielle Biermann wasn't much of a studier throughout high school. Instead, audiences saw the boy-crazed teen focus more on her social life than studying. Along with a seemingly lack of interest, Biermann was bullied in school due to her mother's life being aired on television.

In a 2013 interview with Glamour, Kim Zolciak-Biermann details how quickly her personal business hits the press, and her struggle to protect her kids from the critics on social media: "My kids are obviously in the public eye, and they have social media. ...With my mom bashing me, it put my family in a bad place. And Brielle — people in school say stuff to her." Biermann even opened up about being bullied and beat up in high school in this tweet. Thankfully, she was able to overcome the difficult times and achieve her high school diploma in 2015.

Finding a father figure

Brielle originally had her mom's last name, Zolciak, and she spent most of her life being raised by a single parent; however, that all changed as soon as NFL player Kroy Biermann came into her mother's life. Kroy Biermann married Brielle's mom, Kim, in 2011, and soon after, he adopted Brielle and her sister, Ariana (who both took on his last name). Kroy would become the father Brielle never had, and often became the person to challenge her choices.

Despite being a bit of a disciplinarian, Brielle has displayed immense respect and love for her adoptive dad. She opened up about her feelings for Kroy in this Instagram post, writing, "...It takes a strong man to immediately step up to the plate and take the role of 'dad' at 23 years old but you did and I'm so glad you did! Everyday i wonder how we lived our lives without you... I love you papa!" The adoption process played out on Season 2 of Don't Be Tardy.

Blessed with a soul sister

Along with being extremely close to mom Kim, Biermann has an inseparable bond with 17-year-old sister, Ariana Biermann. While the pair has been seen on TV bickering — as sisters often do — the girls have always supported and uplifted one another throughout the years. Biermann has expressed her gratitude toward her sister on social media, including this Instagram post captioned, "I'm so honored and thankful you're MY little sister! From stabbing you with a spork to snuggling every night we've come a long way together and i [sic] wouldn't want to do life with anyone else. you're my most special friend and today you deserve to be treated like the princess you are!"

While things have changed a lot since their mom married Kroy Biermann — expanding their brood to a total of six kids — one thing has remained the same for Biermann and her sister: their undying love for each other.

The next Giuliana Rancic?

Growing up on television can afford one many opportunities — like the chance to live out one of your dreams! In a Season 4 episode of Don't Be Tardy, Biermann expresses her desire to pursue a career in broadcasting, with the intent to become an on-air personality like her idol, E! News host Giuliana Rancic. After pulling some strings and reaching out to her connections, mama Kim lands Biermann an amazing opportunity to audition at E! News.

During the episode, Biermann breaks down into tears while meeting idol Rancic, who encourages the reality star to be confident and persistent with her dreams. Soon after their meeting, Biermann overcomes her nerves, reads a teleprompter for the first time, and even interviews R&B singer Monica! While Biermann still hasn't made the jump to TV hosting full time, it's safe to say that the girl is a natural when it comes to being on screen.

She's proud of her body

Growing up on television and giving millions of people access to your life on social media can have a negative effect on a person's self image. With cyber bullies eager to attack every imperfection, no one would blame Brielle Biermann if she chose to refrain from showing off her body. Thankfully, Biermann has never let the haters destroy her body confidence or warp her thoughts on eating.

Whether she's dressed in body-hugging jeans or in a barely-there bikini, Biermann is always praising her own body and expressing her sexuality without shame. Additionally, the star doesn't restrict her eating habits to obtain an unrealistic "Hollywood" body.

And while she doesn't shy away from posting bikini pics or showing off her cleavage, Biermann makes sure to warn her fans of the dangers social media can have in this Instagram post, writing, "Social media can seriously harm your mental health... stop comparing yourself to a lot of these unrealistic illusions that people create to make you think their life is perfect. No such thing as a life that's better than yours!"

Striking out with her baseball player love

Relationships are hard, but when you add cameras to the mix, things can get messy. Brielle Biermann's relationship with Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Kopech played out for fans of Don't Be Tardy for the course of the couple's two-year relationship. The lovebirds were inseparable and the relationship was serious enough for the pair to consider moving in together. Sadly, the couple split in March 2018, but their relationship will forever remain in the show's history.

Biermann talked about the break-up in a February 2019 interview with TooFab, where she detailed how the baseball player wanted her to wait for him while they were on a break; however, Biermann stood up for herself and said no. She went on to explain that although their split was painful for her, she is in a much better headspace now.

The reality star had to experience the pain on-camera for Don't Be Tardy, which was hard for her. She told Hollywood Life in a February 2019 interview, "Last season, there were a lot of crazy things going on... I was really bummed out about it at first but I got over it easily. I'm trying to find out who I want to be."

Playing the field with an old favorite

Despite breaking up with her high school boyfriend Slade Osborne in 2015, Brielle Biermann decided to give the relationship a second chance following her split from Mike Kopech in 2018. As teenagers in love, Biermann and Osborne once talked about marriage, kids, and moving to Los Angeles together. Sadly, the young couple split, and Biermann later revealed in a statement to E! News that Osborne wasn't the man she thought he was.

When the couple re-kindled their romance in 2018 all appeared well; Biermann even expressed her love for Osborne in an Instagram post. In the post she wrote, "SCREAMING HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my best friend, my angel, my love forever! You've been one of the best things that's ever happened to me for the past 5 years and I couldn't imagine a life without your silly self!"

Unfortunately, a second time was not the charm for the couple. Biermann confirmed her break-up from Osborne in an interview with Page Six on February 20, 2019, stating, "Um, I'm single. So, there's that. ...We definitely tried it out [again]... and you'll see how that plays out on 'Don't Be Tardy'..."

Obsessed with plastic surgery?

Brielle Biermann has changed a lot since she first appeared on Real Housewives of Atlanta as a pre-teen, and in 2016, the blonde beauty made a big change to her face: she got lip injections. Biermann has been honest about having her lips plumped, and mom Kim expressed her support for her daughter in a May 2016 interview with US Weekly, explaining "She bothered me for five years about her lips. She was like, 'I hate my lips, I hate my lips.' So I'm like, then go fix them! You only go around this planet once. If it makes her happy, so be it."

Despite only changing her lips, Biermann received hate for having other plastic surgery done to her face and body. The reality star has adamantly denied having any additional cosmetic procedures, and she addresses plastic surgery rumors in this November 2016 interview with The Doctors saying, "They all tell me that I've like ruined my face. They think I've had all this work done to my face, when in reality all I've done is my lips, and I feel I've been very open about it, so it's annoying."

She doesn't have a real job

Online trolls attack Brielle Biermann over just about everything she does in her life, including not having a "real" job. Although the young television star has never worked a regular 9-5 work day, she does work hard for her money. Kim Zolciak-Biermann defended her daughter in a May 2017 interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, explaining that her daughter makes close to 6 figures from social media.

Biermann's massive social media platform — she has over 1 million followers on Instagram and over 240k followers on Twitter at the time of writing — has helped her obtain a lucrative career as a social media influencer. The reality star has an established fanbase and a strong online presence that has garnered her opportunities to work with brands like 310 Nutrition, FabFitFun, Loving Tan, and Teami Blends, to name a few. Biermann even created her own line of cell phone cases with Fifth and Ninth.

Leaving the nest

There comes a time in every person's life when they have to grow up and leave the nest. While Brielle Biermann spent most of her life living comfortably — and rent-free — with her family, she hit a major milestone in her adult life: she moved out! The reality star gushed about her gorgeous Atlanta condo on Snapchat, showing off her bathroom, spacious master bedroom, and beautiful city views. Biermann also confirmed her move in an Instagram post where she shared the sexy art piece her mom bought for her new place.

Biermann previously expressed a desire to move out on her own and become more independent in a December 2017 interview with TooFab. Her original plan was to move out at age 21 to live alone for a year, before settling down with then-boyfriend Mike Kopech. She explained, "I don't ever want to have to depend on a man, so I want to learn to do things on my own and support myself before I go from living in my parents house to living with a man." Although the couple split, the break-up didn't alter her plans to experience life in her own place.

She's not afraid to fight for what she loves

Growing up on TV and facing constant criticism on social media has given Brielle Biermann a thick skin against haters. The reality star doesn't take crap from online bullies, and she certainly doesn't allow people to bully the people she loves. When mom Kim appeared on the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 reunion, she felt personally attacked by the rest of her co-stars.

After watching the ordeal on TV, Biermann took to Twitter to unleash her anger tweeting, "I can't even express the anger I'm feeling right now. It's absolutely disgusting how mean grown women can be. I wish nothing more than for the cast of RHOA to find happiness and peace. They need it more than anyone."

This wasn't the first time the bold beauty has spoken up for her mom. Biermann has defended her close relationship with mom Kim countless times, including in this December 2017 interview with TooFab where she explained, "People see my relationship with my mom as too friendly, but I don't think you could ever be too friendly with your parents. ...I think some parents aren't close enough with their kids, and communication is key in my family."

Move over, Kylie. There's a new lip kit in town

Brielle Biermann and her family receive a lot of attention for their beauty, and now they've created a business venture to capitalize on that. On February 13, 2019, Biermann, her mom Kim, and sister Ariana, launched KAB cosmetics, a cruelty-free makeup line featuring vibrant lip kits. On the company website, the ladies write, "We are SO excited that KAB is finally here! We have put our hearts into this for SO long and couldn't be happier to share this with all of you!"

KAB features 10 lip shades to choose from including Lollipop, Glazed, Funfetti, and Cherry Pie. With the words "People will stare. Make it worth their while" written across the packaging, the lip kits come with a lip liner, lipstick, lip gloss, and a sharpener. Biermann, sister Ariana, and mom Kim have all shared sneak peeks of their beauty line leading up to its launch, with each posting pictures of themselves wearing a color from the brand. The Biermann brood have also hinted that blush is next in the beauty line.
