Lilly Singh, commonly known as IISuperwomanII, is a Canadian YouTuber, comedian, actress, and talkshow host.

Since Singh was young she always wanted to be an entertainer, however restricted that dream was due to cultural South Asian stigma. But Singh, in order to cope with her depression, started making videos on YouTube in 2010.

"I was dealing with a lot in my life when I started making YouTube videos and I thought if I could make other people laugh, I could make myself laugh," she reflected an interview with Flare. "It was self-medicating. Every bit of success I have gained has helped me become a more mentally and emotionally strong person," she added.

And since 2010, Singh has seen a lot of success.

Lilly Singh is amongst the highest paid YouTubers

Singh's channel has gained over 14 million subscribers and almost 3.2 billion views since her first video in October 2010. Alongside her main channel, IISuperwomanII, Singh also has a second channel called Lilly Singh Vlogs, with almost 3 million subscribers and more than 400 million views.

At the time, Singh didn't realize where her channel would take her. Today, she is among one of the highest paid YouTube content creators, with Forbes ranking her number 10 in their 2017 "World's Highest-Paid Youtube Stars" list.

"I wasn't even totally aware of what YouTube could become," she recalled in an interview with York University. "I didn't think it could be a career, I didn't think I could make a lot of money from it, I didn't think it would be sustainable by any means."

YouTubers earn $2 to $7 per 1,000 monetized views after YouTube takes its cut, Nailbuzz reports. These views range from 40 percent to 80 percent of the total views. With Singh's number of subscribers and views, it is estimated that she makes around $4,800 per day (or $1.8 million per year) from advertisements and subscriber views, not to mention her second channel which fetches an estimated $200,000 per year.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Singh has a net worth of $16 million earning at least $8 million a year with her various online collaborations and endeavors.

Lilly Singh has a lot going on

In 2014, Singh starred in the film Dr. Cabbie, and was nominated for a Shorty Award and Streamy Award in the same year. Singh also released a song "#LEH" in collaboration with friend, Humble The Poet, that same year. The following year, she announced her world tour, A Trip to Unicorn Island. Singh has collaborated with various actors and has also featured in several songs. She contributes to not only media streams in the Americas but globally with her music featured in the hit Bollywood film Gulaab Gang (via Bollyspice).

Based on her rise to fame, Singh also wrote How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life in 2017, which went on to be a New York Times Bestseller.

Is there anything that IISuperwomanII can't do?

Lilly Singh is the first female late-night host

Singh continues to break glass ceilings for not only South Asians but women in general.

When her talk show, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, was announced, she appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show and expressed excitement to host Jimmy Fallon, saying "...an Indian-Canadian woman with her own late-night show? Now that is a dream come true. I'm thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild," the New York Post reported.

Singh has gone from a common name in South Asian households to a name known globally. With her new show, she not only became the first female and first South Asian woman to have her own late night spot, but she brought out fans from all over the world to celebrate the comedian. With her career on the rise and the strides she's making, Singh's net worth must only be increasing day by day.
