The Real Reason Katy Perry Is Postponing Her Wedding

It looks like Katy Perry and her beau, Orlando Bloom, will have to wait a bit longer before tying the knot. The couple was originally planning on getting married this month, but a source revealed to Us Weekly that they've had to put their winter wedding plans on hold. What's the reason for the delay? Are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom having relationship problems?

Fortunately, the insider says that everything is okay with the couple and that they are enjoying planning their upcoming wedding together. The delay is because of logistics — not because of conflict between the future bride and groom. "They changed the timing due to the location they want," said the source. "They're beyond in love."

Bloom proposed to Perry on Valentine's Day. "We went to dinner and I thought we were going to see some art after dinner, but we pulled up to a helicopter," the singer said on Jimmy Kimmel Live in February (via YouTube). "It was really sweet. He asked me to marry him in a helicopter. We landed on a rooftop and my whole family was there, and friends. He did so well."

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom want babies soon

When Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom do finally tie the knot, they're going to party it up in style — twice. "They're going to have one local wedding party, and the other will be a destination wedding party," revealed the source.

Bloom and Perry aren't just planning their wedding(s), though. They're also looking towards the future and making plans to start a family. "Katy wants to have her first kid soon after they get married," the source said.

The future baby Bloom will already have a sibling when they arrive. Bloom was previously married to Miranda Kerr, with whom he has an 8-year-old son, Flynn.
