Inside Barack And Michelle Obama's New Martha's Vineyard Home

Barack and Michelle Obama recently bought a new home in Martha's Vineyard, and it is absolutely stunning. We'd expect nothing less than for the former president and his wife to live in the lap of luxury. After all, the Obamas have a considerable net worth and have a gorgeous mansion in D.C., just down the street from the White House.

Their new home is no less impressive. According to Vineyard Gazette, their Martha's Vineyard home was purchased in December 2019 for a whopping $11.75 million. The 6,892 square foot home sits on nearly 30 acres with views of the beach. Barack and Michelle Obama's new home has seven bedrooms, eight-and-a-half baths, a two car garage, a barn, and a pool.

Judging by the listing photos provided by LandVest, the turnkey property is one that the Obamas won't have to do much work on. With a few finishing touches to make it their own, the Obamas will be right at home in the spacious house.

The Obamas' new home boasts a massive chef's kitchen

The massive kitchen has plenty of room to prepare gourmet meals, and it comes equipped with lots of storage. The large kitchen also has plenty of overhead lighting, making the already spacious room seem even larger.

While the eat-in kitchen has enough space for casual breakfasts or a morning cup of coffee, an adjoining dining room provides ample room for dinner parties and more formal gatherings.

Barack and Michelle Obama's living room is dramatic

Barack and Michelle Obama's new living room has a modern and industrial feel. The vaulted ceilings make the room airy and bright, while the exposed steel beams give it a bit of an edge. The room also features gorgeous hardwood floors.

There are plenty of windows so that the family can enjoy the view of their massive property. A stone fireplace ensures that evenings spent in the living room will be cozy and warm.

Barack and Michelle Obama's master suite is huge

The entire home is stunning, but Barack and Michelle Obama's new master suite is truly extraordinary. Not only does the generously sized room feature its own fireplace, but it also has a massive ensuite bath with a soaking tub and two sinks. Considering that Michelle Obama previously told Today that she refuses to share a bathroom with Barack, it seems likely that he might be exiled to a guest bathroom — no great hardship in a home with two guest wings.

The master suite also boasts its own private sun deck, complete with dazzling views of the water.

The Obamas have plenty of room for recreation at their new home

With nearly 30 acres at their disposal, Barack and Michelle Obama have a lot of recreational options at their beautifully landscaped new home. They can walk down to the beach for a swim, or take a boat out on the water.

If they want to stay closer to the house, they can also go for a dip in their in-ground pool, or lay out in the sun. There are several beautiful spots for sunbathing at the new Obama home, including a gorgeous patio.
