Married To Medicine: What Dr. Jackie's Husband Does For A Living

Married to Medicine's Dr. Jackie Walters and her husband, Curtis Berry, have endured their fair share of marital difficulty, most of which played out in front of the Bravo cameras on the hit reality show on which they both star. Although they got married all the way back in 2002, a very public cheating scandal led to the couple almost calling it quits for good in 2017.

By the following year, however, they had reconciled and everything seemed to be on track once again. Dr. Jackie has accomplished huge feats in her field, and her demanding day job is clearly also a lifelong passion. But her husband is no slouch either; Berry has more than earned his way over the years, even if he's retired from his original career.

Dr. Jackie's husband is a very busy man

Dr. Jackie's beau is a former professional basketball player. Berry was drafted by the Kansas City Kings back in 1981 and went on to have a storied career in the sport, so it makes sense that he'd turn to coaching as a follow-up career. His LinkedIn page confirms he worked at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School from 2004 to 2017, as the head basketball coach for the boys' varsity team. However, his LinkedIn page also describes the University of Missouri graduate as owner of BW Properties LLC since 2017. The former basketball star's company specializes in online teaching and real estate.

The year 2017 was the same one when rumors of his infidelity began making the rounds, with damning images of him and his mistress showing up online. Thankfully, Dr. Jackie confirmed during a 2018 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she and Berry were working things out, stating, "We've had to tear down to build up." The Married to Medicine star previously told The Daily Dish that it was difficult watching everything play out on the show, but she noted, "Some of the sensitive areas still come up, and I cannot tell I'm 100 percent there, but I'm there enough to stay married to the man."
