Inside The New Biography About Prince Harry And Meghan Markle

A new book about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family is set to debut this summer. As noted by E! News, this is the first biography that is about Harry and Meghan as a couple, although there are biographies about their individual lives. The new book is being published by HarperCollins, and is penned by royals reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. Scobie is the Royal Editor at Large for Harper's Bazaar, while Durand is a royal reporter and contributor for Elle. Both authors have extensively covered Harry and Meghan's royal careers (via Elle).

A press release promises that the biography "goes beyond the headlines to reveal unknown details of Harry and Meghan's life together, dispelling the many rumors and misconceptions that plague the couple on both sides of the pond."

While it doesn't appear that Meghan and Harry were personally involved with the biography, according to the press release the book was "written with the participation of those closest to the couple."

The new biography sets out to portray the real Harry and Meghan

Far from a salacious tell-all mired with gossip, it appears that Finding Freedom will shine a positive light on the often controversial couple. "The aim of this book is to portray the real Harry and Meghan, a couple who continue to inspire many around the world through their humanitarian and charitable work but are often inaccurately portrayed," said Scobie and Durand.

They added, "Our mission has been motivated by a desire to tell an accurate version of their journey and finally present the truth of misreported stories that have become gospel simply because of the amount of times they have been repeated. It is thanks to our sources that we have been able to share the definitive story of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex."

The book is scheduled to be released on August 11, and will be available in hardcover and for Kindle.
