According to Park Avenue plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Schulman, "There is anecdotal evidence that proteins in snail slime have anti-aging benefits, and clinical trials have looked at that, as well as reversal of sun damage, and shown improvement." While snail secretion does sound like a good option for anyone wanting to improve their skin, Russ Grandis, chemist and chief scientific officer of cosmetics consulting company Architectural Beauty, warned that you need to be extra careful when selecting a snail product.
