One of the biggest draws of the HBO Max series Love Life is the incredible performance of Sasha Compère, who plays Mallory on the series. Compère does an amazing job of bringing the character to life, but it's far from the only one that she has played in her career. If you have been trying to figure out just why Mallory seems so familiar, it's because Compère has quite the list of acting credits under her belt.
Per her bio at TBS, Compère is a native of Detroit, Michigan and is of Haitian descent. She has more than 20 acting credits on her resume, per her IMDb page, and has been on the acting scene for quite some time with her first listed credit dating back to 2011 when she appeared on an episode of The Electric Company. That was only the start of what is proving to be a prolific and successful career.

Since appearing on The Electric Company, Compère has landed some pretty big roles. She has been in several sketches for College Humor, and has had guest parts on shows like Rizzoli & Isles, Crowned, Community, Young & Hungry, The Real O'Neals, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and Reverie.
Compère has also had major roles on TV shows, notably on Miracle Workers, The Dead Girls Detective Agency, and now, Love Life. Her film roles include Coming of Age Films, Ad Astra, Uncorked, and the upcoming Seven Days.
Compère's star is clearly on the rise. She has worked hard for her career and wants others to also follow their dreams. "Stay humble and positive, and the universe will open the world to you one day," wrote the Love Life star in a 2018 Instagram post.
