The Truth About 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way's Ariela And Biniyam's Relationship

The second season of TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is just a few days away, but already there's drama brewing between 28-year-old New Jersey native Ariela and her 29-year-old fiancé Biniyam, who hails from Ethiopia, due to what she deems to be an unfair portrayal of their relationship on the hit reality show. Ariela met Biniyam while she was traveling around his native country and, after just a few months of dating, Ariela fell pregnant.

The recent divorcee was understandably shocked at the development, but the couple pledged to stay together and be the best parents possible to their child. Ariela even planned to move to Ethiopia permanently so they could be a proper family. However, according to the reality star, TLC is misleading in portraying how their relationship unfolded, with Ariela taking particular issue with a recent trailer for the upcoming season.

Cheat Sheet notes Ariela complained in a recent Instagram story that Ethiopia hadn't been represented in the trailer alongside the other cast-members' home countries, such as Mexico and India, which were seen in short clips alongside glimpses of each couple's love stories. "Why isn't Ethiopia mentioned in the trailer? All the other countries got lettering!" Ariela complained. Her Instagram bio lists the New Jersey native as a "reluctant TV personality," suggesting she isn't too pushed about appearing on a reality show in the first place.

Likewise, another post took aim at the alleged editing tricks, with Ariela writing, "Watch so you can scratch your head and say... Don't these braindead Americans do research on the culture before they go somewhere? Or he obviously only wants her for a green card! The fun awaits." Fans of the show were none too pleased, with one even admitting to disliking Ariela already while another suggested she may be the villain of Season 2.

Judging by the drama-filled trailer, it seems Ariela isn't fully prepared for her new life in Ethiopia. She and Biniyam have several roadblocks to contend with, from an unplanned pregnancy to not being comfortable with each other yet. The mom-to-be even admits at one point, "I'm making a huge sacrifice for someone that I barely even know."

Likewise, Ariela is concerned about giving birth in Ethiopia and is horrified over the living conditions there, expressing concern over the fact the couple don't even have a fridge. "I don't know what we're gonna do. I can't live in a place that has no bathroom and no kitchen!" she screams at Biniyam at one point. Worryingly, once Ariela tells him she's not prepared to stay, Biniyam proclaims, "I'm done."

Fans will have to wait to see whether the couple manages to work things out for the sake of their child, but judging by what we know so far, it's not going to be an easy road for Ariela and Biniyam.
