Details You Didn't Know About 90 Day Fiancé's Paul Staehle

Kentucky native Paul Staehle and his Brazilian wife, Karine Martins, have been fixtures of TLC's 90 Day Fiancé franchise for years. The pair first appeared on the first two seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, where they struggled to communicate through an electronic translator. When Paul tried to move down to Brazil full time, TLC filmed the whole thing for 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Now, according to Us Weekly, they're being featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Paul might have spent plenty of time in front of the camera, but fans still have questions. What happened with his criminal past? Will he and Karine ever stop fighting? And did Paul and Karine break up for good?

Paul Staehle is no longer under court supervision

When Paul Staehle first visited Karine Martins in Brazil, he was already keeping secrets 一 a common theme for 90 Day stars. Paul met Karine online, but he waited until they met in person to reveal to his girlfriend that he had a criminal past. In 2014, Paul was convicted for arson committed in 2007, according to InTouch. Paul told the 90 Day cameras that he was accused of burning down his own house, and ended up spending 18 months in jail (via CheatSheet). Worse, Paul claimed he'd committed the crime after a relationship ended badly. Though she was initially skeptical about dating a felon, Karine eventually accepted Paul's past. InTouch reports he remained under court supervision until April 2020. Now, Paul is out of the woods legally and he can finally close the door on a 13 year saga. Hopefully, there are no fire-starting plans in his future.

90 Day Fiancé's Paul and Karine are still together

Throughout their relationship, Paul and Karine have given fans plenty of reason to assume they've broken up. In September 2019, Paul wrote on Facebook that he and Karine were getting divorced. In November 2019, Karine told Us Weekly that she and Paul were splitting and she was looking for a lawyer. These posts came shortly after 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5 was shot in July 2019 (via The Chicago Tribune). But in 2020, Paul posted Instagram photos of him and Karine hiking with their son, revealing that the two were very much still together.

Happily Ever After? is currently airing, showing Karine's journey as she moves to Paul's hometown in Kentucky. Unfortunately for Paul, Karine seems less than impressed with their new living situation. In a recent episode, the two went house hunting to find a new place. Karine was so disappointed by a dilapidated house that she threatened to leave for Brazil. Apparently, she never followed through on the threat. According to Paul's recent Instagram posts, the two are still together with their son.

Karine Martins might be pregnant

Paul Staehle and Karine Martins have always been willing to share their lives, the good and the bad. Fans watched as Karine suffered an agonizing miscarriage on the second season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Unfortunately, it was the second miscarriage for the couple. Paul and Karine didn't give up hope, and on March 22, 2019, Us Weekly reported that Paul and Karine welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Pierre Martins Staehle. Both parents love posting photos of the adorable tot, and he even has his own Instagram

Rumor has it, though, that another baby might be on the way. In a deleted Instagram story (via The Blast), Paul shared a photo of Karine with a heart over her stomach and the word "baby." Karine has apparently deleted her Instagram account, and Paul hasn't commented on whether another baby is on the way. Hopefully, they'll film an update for this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
