Jessa Duggar Sets The Record Straight On A Secret Pregnancy

Last week, rumors circulated that Counting On star, Jessa Duggar, was pregnant with her fourth child with husband, Ben Seewald. After her father, Jim Bob, joked that the birthday cake for Duggar's daughter was a gender reveal cake, the internet flew into a frenzy with speculation over whether his remark was true.

Over the weekend, after Duggar posted a photo of her son's haircut, a fan asked, "Will you announce your 4th pregnancy soon? Noticed the bump." To which the 27-year-old mother of three promptly replied, "There's no baby behind the bump — only tacos. Thanks for asking." (via Us Weekly)

Even though the comment generated more than 5,000 likes (via In Touch), Duggar's focus seems to remain on the three little ones she already has: Spurgeon, four, Henry, three, and Ivy, 14 months. Despite her father's comment and a recent photo she posted of herself in a loose-fitting dress, pushing her daughter in a swing, fans were too quick to assume Duggar's pregnancy.

Jessa Duggar still wants to expand her family

While the Counting On star and her husband aren't expecting at the moment, they have expressed a desire to grow their family. The two are considering adoption for baby number four, according to Us Weekly.

"We could wait until all of our kids are grown and gone and then adopt, but I also think it's kind of cool to have an adopted child growing up with the other kids," Seewald said. "We're just in a stage of, like, meeting with people who have adopted and getting advice, hearing their stories and seeing what that might look like for us."

Duggar and Seewald went on to share the avenues they've been exploring to adopt in the future, including local or international. Duggar even explained that the couple has wanted to adopt since before they married in 2014. "We're not sure if our next baby will be adopted or not, but that's something that has weighed heavily on our hearts since before we were married," she said. In the meantime, however, they have three children under four to keep them very busy.
