What John Paul Jones Really Thinks About Tayshia Being The Bachelorette

Though ABC has yet to confirm, People, Entertainment Tonight, and more are reporting that Tayshia Adams has flown in to replace Clare Crawley as the Bachelorette. While fans wait to hear the official announcement, there is one member of Bachelor Nation they want to hear from: Tayshia's Bachelor in Paradise ex, John Paul Jones. According to him, there's no bad blood. JPJ told Us Weekly, "I'm really happy and excited for her on this new journey. I hope she finds the love and happiness that she deserves."

John Paul Jones and Tayshia met while filming Bachelor in Paradise. Though Tayshia initially broke things off with John on the show's finale, they got back together shortly after. In September 2019, John and Tayshia broke it off for good. "We are the best of friends and will continue to remain in each other's life because regardless of the situation, we make each other happy," Tayshia wrote in an Instagram post (via Elite Daily).

John Paul Jones didn't move to California for Tayshia

When JPJ moved to Los Angeles, rumors started swirling that he'd moved there to make things work with Tayshia (via People). When Tayshia appeared on the official Bachelor podcast Bachelor Happy Hour, she made clear she had nothing to do with the move. "He moved here because he wanted to be an actor," Tayshia told hosts Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin. "And because he was getting auditions and it was just easier for him to attend those as opposed to flying out." She also explained that distance and an age difference were major reasons behind her break-up.

Apparently, John Paul Jones didn't love Tayshia's podcast comments. Despite the pair's commitment to remain friends, they haven't posted any photos together since. After his breakup with Tayshia, John was linked to model Victoria Rose Strehlow, though their relationship status was never confirmed. Will fans be treated to a JPJ cameo on Tayshia's Bachelorette season? We'll be keeping our eye on the La Quinta resort.
