Mandy Moore Just Announced Big News With Her Latest Instagram Post
Actress and singer Mandy Moore took to Instagram to share good news: one Moore member of her family is on the way. Moore and her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, both shared black and white photos on Instagram announcing the news that a baby boy was on the way. In the photos, Goldsmith rested his hand on Moore's (tiny) baby bump. "Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021," Moore wrote with two blue heart emojis. Instagram was an appropriate venue for the big news, considering that the couple met through the social media platform (via People).
The pregnancy was welcome news to the This Is Us star. Though she plays Rebecca Pearson, a mother of three, on the hit NBC drama, this is Moore's first child. "I was most concerned about was feeling maternal, not having children myself," Moore told E! News in 2017. "But being part of a project like this definitely makes my ovaries start kicking." She also expressed her wishes to have children "sooner rather than later."

Moore and Goldsmith have celebrated some pretty big milestones together over the past few years. The two met after Moore posted a photo of an album from Dawes, the band Goldsmith is the frontman for (via People). After trading DMs and FaceTiming while Moore filmed This Is Us, the two got serious. After two years of dating, they became engaged in September 2017. According to E! News, they were married in "an intimate backyard wedding" in November 2018. Their love of music seems to have made their marriage stronger; Goldsmith has co-writing credits for several songs on Moore's album, Silver Landings, which she released in March 2020 (via AV Club).
Clearly, this couple is crazy about each other. And Moore thinks Goldsmith will be a great father. She told Glamour in 2018, "He makes me melt. I can imagine no better partner. He's going to be the most tremendous father." Hopefully, he won't go anywhere near a crockpot.
