There Is A New Jersey Shore Baby On The Way

The Situation is going to be a dad (via Us Weekly). Mike Sorrentino of Jersey Shore fame took to Instagram to share that his wife Lauren is expecting a baby in May of next year. "We have a Baby Situation," the caption of the sweet reveal said. In the image, we see the loving couple and their dog in their kitchen with their announcement written in flour on the countertop. Another shot included ultrasounds photos. Lauren also shared the same images on her Instagram along with the caption, "Our biggest blessing is on it's way."

The wonderful news that the Sorrentino family is growing comes on the heels of a very tough few years for the reality star and his wife. Shortly after the couple said "I do" in 2018, Sorrentino went to prison to serve an eight month sentence for tax evasion (via NBC News). Then, as Lauren revealed, "The night he came home [from prison] we actually conceived. And then at about six and half, seven weeks, I miscarried. It was heart-wrenching. When I found out we were pregnant, I felt like this is why we went through all these challenges for years and that this was our time and it was our blessing. ... It was hard. It was really difficult."

The Jersey Shore cast reacts to the happy baby news

Following their very difficult loss, the Sorrentinos are obviously ecstatic to be expecting again. And The Situation's fellow cast mates are equally pumped. DJ Pauly commented on the soon-to-be dad's social media post, "Now that's a situation my dude!!!!" Meanwhile, Vinny Guadagnino commented, "Errrhhhhh meerrrrr gerrrrrddddd !!!!" Deanna Cortese said, "So excited for you both! Love you guys so much."

Not to be left out, Snooki commented, "LOVE YOU BOTH. sooo sooo excited for you," while Ronnie Ortiz-Magro shared several flexing emojis (naturally) and simply commented, "Amazing!!!" JWOWW echoed that sentiment exactly. Over on Lauren's Instagram, Sorrentino's castmates also shared their congratulations with Snooki joking (or not), "Sooo happy for you my mawma! Always here for you! Call me when your nipples grow the size of a small plate."

We also offer our sincere congratulations to the Sorrentinos and wish Lauren and happy and healthy pregnancy.
