Is Kenya Moore Giving Her Marriage A Second Chance?

Since last year, fans of Real Housewives of Atlanta have watched the ups and downs of Kenya Moore and Marc Daly's marriage. Announcing their separation in the fall of last year, things were actually getting better for the couple until during the Season 13 premiere earlier this year, when it was uncovered that the stress of the pandemic set the couple back yet again. In the season opener, Moore revealed, in an exchange with her divorce attorney, "we were actually doing really well. And then COVID happened, and it really adversely affected his businesses, and we were apart. I was here, he was in New York, and I feel like I am the first person to take the brunt of everything that is going on with him."

While it certainly appeared as though the marriage had run its course, Moore gave fans a glimmer of hope on Sunday's Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. When asked where the couple stands after reports that they celebrated 2-year-old Brooklyn's birthday together as a family, she explained, "I have not filed for divorce." Further adding, "Right now Marc is really fighting for his marriage. He wants to go to counseling. He's made appointments. He's asking to publicly apologize to me and a lot of things that I never thought I'd see the day."

Kenya Moore is not ruling out a reconciliation with Marc Daly

Although Kenya Moore did reveal that following her marital struggles, which were amplified due to the stress of the pandemic, Marc Daly went ahead and filed for divorce. She explained that he quickly withdrew the paperwork in an effort to explore resolving their differences. Stating, "He did file and withdrew it less than 24 hours later, so we've kind of gotten past that."

The couple may be working on fixing their marriage before going down the route of dissolution, but Moore stressed in an interview with ET that she has also changed a lot during their separation and she's not willing to sacrifice her newfound strength and happiness for her marriage. She told the outlet, "I am in a very different place in my life.I will not bow down to a man. I will not beg for love and attention and those things kind of come from, as I've learned through the season and we reveal, things that happened to me when I was a child, in my childhood and what I needed and what I didn't get and how that manifests itself in my relationships. So, it's a really interesting journey if you follow along."

While nothing is definite with these two, it at least sounds promising for now!
