Rihanna Is Sharing Her Favorite Recipes In A New Cookbook

Rihanna, the world-famous singer-turned-entrepreneur, revealed she has a new project up her sleeve following the months spent quarantining throughout 2020. The best-selling digital artist of all time now has another title to add to her impressive resumé: cookbook author.

According to Rap Up, the pop star is working on a cookbook featuring recipes for her favorite Caribbean dishes that remind her of her home island of Barbados. When it comes to her inspiration, Rihanna's down time during quarantine had something to do with it. "I love what I do — but I am always busy and quarantine gave me the time to do things I wouldn't always have been able to do — watch an entire box set in a day, cook, go for walk. It's important we do little things we enjoy and are kind to ourselves," she told Closer.

She told the outlet that the book comes filled with her favorite food staples, and that she loves "food from my Barbadian roots and eat a lot of fresh fish," along with "mac n' cheese, Shepherd's pie and rum punch."

The singer is reportedly back in Barbados for the holidays, saying, "It's important to be with friends and family — but I feel at such peace when I am there. It is the most beautiful place, with incredible beaches, food and people."

Rihanna has her hands full with other ventures as well

While a Rihanna cookbook may be the exact item you were looking to add to your collection, the singer's other ventures are becoming household staples as well. In addition to her philanthropic streak, she also boasts a successful makeup line and lingerie company, Forbes notes. Rihanna's cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty, makes up a bulk of her net worth, as she works as a co-owner alongside luxury goods group, LVMH. With its signature styles and diverse array of colors to meet all types of skin, Fenty Beauty is as successful as other mainstream beauty companies.

Furthermore, Savage X Fenty, the singer's lingerie brand, has been donned by celebrities like Lizzo, Bella Hadid, Cara Delevegine and more, according to PopSugar. As if that isn't enough success, Rihanna is currently courting investors to fund the company's expansion into active wear. WWD reports that she's trying to raise $100 million while maintaining total creative control of the brand for this latest creation — time will tell what she comes up with!
