Why Peter Weber And Kelley Flanagan Broke Up

After a tumultuous Bachelor season, it seemed like Peter Weber had finally found love with Kelley Flanagan although she wasn't the winner of the show. Peter and Kelley only got together after he had broken off his engagement to Hannah Ann Sluss to be with Madison Prewett, a relationship that was short-lived.

Peter and Kelley seemed very happy after they reconnected. "With Kelley, it literally sounds so cliché — I can just be myself," he told ET in July. "She truly gets me. She's my biggest fan and she supports me and she's always there for me. I know I have my partner in crime forever."

Unfortunately, things didn't work out and Peter announced they had split up on Instagram on New Year's Eve. "Love is a funny thing," wrote Peter. "It can make you feel on top of the world and it can make you feel a pain you wish didn't exist. I'm here to share that Kelley and I have decided to go our separate ways. While our relationship was filled with countless beautiful memories, our relationship simply didn't work out in the end."

Why did Peter Weber and Kelley Flanagan break up?

The breakup seemed to be an amicable one. "Kelley is someone I will always have a special love for," Peter wrote on Instagram. "Someone I have learned more from than she will ever understand. Someone I am so thankful came into my life and someone who I will always wish all of life's greatest blessings on. These moments in life always hurt, but in my opinion that shows you it was worth the time you spent together."

Kelley took a few days to herself before opening up about the breakup on her own Instagram. In her post, she explained that she and Peter split up because they simply weren't on the same page. "Peter and I had some unbelievable times together and they will definitely be missed," she wrote. "Unfortunately him and I are in two different stages of our lives and saw our future paths differently. I wish Peter the absolute best and want to thank everyone for your continued support as I move on to my next chapter."

While there were rumors that Peter had cheated on Kelley, a source told Us Weekly that this wasn't the case. "They were together all the time, so there was no way either one could've cheated," they said. "Their personalities just didn't mix — that was a big factor for the breakup. They also fought and had many disagreements and didn't see eye to eye at times."
