What You Didn't Know About Samantha Markle
Meghan Markle's estranged half-sister Samantha Markle is dropping a tell-all memoir titled The Diary Of Princess Pushy's Sister Part 1 and it's believed to be all about the Duchess of Sussex. Set to be released on Jan. 17, 2021, the book is being published by Barnes and Noble and promises to reveal all their family's innermost secrets (via The Telegraph).
As the Barnes and Noble synopsis reads: "Amidst a firestorm of fake news and media mayhem, Samantha Markle shares the truth about her life and family against all odds and ultimatums, as a royal fairytale plummets from the tea towels. Sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction."
Speaking to The Sun, Samantha shared more details about the book, explaining, "It deals with my life and my perspective on several issues in the road as they intersect with this royal event in history." She continued, "There was an awful lot going on as this royal fairytale fell off the tea towels," adding, "How that affects us as people and how the world reacted and what it really meant to us as a family. There was a lot going on behind closed doors that the world didn't know."

Although she promises that her book is "fair and balanced", Samantha Markle admitted to The Sun, "I don't know if she (Meghan Markle) will be comfortable with it. Some things she will and some things she won't." She went on, "This has never been a slamming tell-all story. Whatever the reader is looking for there is something for everyone and I hope the world will love it. I think the royal family will like it and will enjoy it and nothing they should be uncomfortable with. I hope they find it warm, funny, honest and heartfelt."
Given Meghan and Samantha Markle's rocky history, and the fact that the sisters reportedly have not spoken to each other since 2008 (via Evening Standard), it will be hard to know how much of what Samantha writes is true. But we can only assume that Meghan isn't thrilled about the book's release.
