Even though President Biden may have the career and resume that's more talked about, he's openly proud and supportive of his wife's career as well. After all, he was the one to hand Dr. Biden her doctorate at her graduation from the University of Delaware. And when discussing their time in the White House as vice-president and second lady he exclaimed, "As second lady, she was teaching full time for eight years, 15 credits a semester," (via Insider).

The Bidens try to find strength in "fractured places"

The happy couple don't like to pretend like their lives are blooming roses 24/7. In fact, they believe that the best time to grow is when things aren't perfect. "There's that quote that says sometimes you become stronger in the fractured places," Dr. Biden explained in an interview with People. "That's what we try to achieve."

President Biden also shuts down the popular belief that a marriage is 50/50, giving credit to their mutual ability to be able to do more at times. "She has a backbone like a ramrod," he gushed about his wife. "Everybody says marriage is 50/50. Well, sometimes you have to be 70/30. Thank God that when I'm really down, she steps in, and when she's really down, I'm able to step in."

Furthermore, President Biden revealed how much their mutual support has furthered the success of their careers. When asked if he could do his job without his wife, he answered, "We each could do our jobs, but not as well as we do them." We love that their mutual support for each other has helped with their professional success. And it also appears to be the secret to their happy marriage.
