Everything We Know About Meghan Trainor's New Baby
Meghan Trainor is officially a mom! The singer took to Instagram to share the happy news of her son's arrival on the sweetest day of the year, writing, "This sweet baby boy's due date was today on Valentine's Day. We got to meet him Monday, Feb 8th! We are SO IN LOVE." She then extended her gratitude to her husband, Daryl Sabara, sharing, "Thank you @darylsabara for the best Valentine's gift ever! Welcome to the world Riley!" (via Us Weekly).
Along with the adorable message, Trainor also posted several photos from Riley's birth and first few days. She included one shot of her c-section delivery, as well as another featuring Sabara enjoying skin-to-skin contact with their newborn as he fed him.
Meanwhile, the proud dad shared on Instagram, "Riley, 7lbs 8oz, 2/8/21, ps — @meghan_trainor you are my forever Valentine and I'm so beyond grateful for you bringing our son into the world." The actor shared the same set of images, including a precious black and white closeup of the child's face.
The meaning behind Riley's name and celebrity congratulations
According to the baby-naming site Nameberry, Riley is an Irish moniker meaning "courageous." Of course, Riley is a unisex name also give to girls.
Meanwhile, celebrities flocked to Riley's famous parents' Instagrams to congratulate them, with Chloe Grace Moretz commenting, "Congrats !!! I love you guys so much." Sabara's co-star in the movie Spy Kids, Alexa Vega, wrote on his page, "tears of joy!!!!! So beyond happy and excited for you and sweet mama! You are going to be such a good daddy!!! This lil blessing is gonna bring you more joy than you guys could ever imagine!!! Let the adventures begin!!!! (now come visit us already!)."
Model Ashley Graham commented, "Riley!!!! Welcome to the world!!! Congratulations mom & dad!!" Nicole Scherzinger noted, "BEST VALENTINES DAY GIFT FROM ABOVE EVER! so happy love you go to so much." And Millie Bobbie Brown commented, "Oh my God. Happy valentines day riley. Love you Meghan, and Daryl. Congratulations. Your [sic] going to be amazing parents and teach baby riley all about spy kids and MUSIC!!!"
