Hair Colors You'll Be Asking For In Spring 2021

In the United States alone, the average person gets the urge to change up their hair three times a year. For just U.S. women, that usually means getting a new hair color. And during the COVID-19 quarantine, 65 percent of females in the country transformed their hair, giving them something fun and different to do while staying at home (via StudyFinds.org).

Now, a new season is upon us, which brings about a shift in weather, moods, fashion, and, of course, hair styles. In particular, Elle Canada reports that, in addition to covering grays and helping to further compliment skin tones and/or haircuts, coloring your hair can add texture, shine, and volume. Plus, it's just plain fun!

Many may just enjoy creating new looks and hopping on the latest trends. And for spring 2021, the four examples that are listed out down below are the hair colors everyone will be asking for and getting!

Copper Cognac

Are you ready to dye your hair, but you can't decide between brown, blonde, and red? This hot look combines all three of them perfectly. It has the shine of copper's color, as well as the depth of cognac's color. According to celebrity colorist Jeremy Tardo, who spoke with Glamour about this trending shade, "it adds a warm spring glow to medium and darker hair shades and gives brightness while maintaining a natural feel".

The Trend Spotter also states that it looks exceptionally good on those who have dark hair, dark skin, and dark eyes, as seen here.

Millennial Pink

Seventeen reminds us that everyone, from Demi Lovato and Katy Perry to Hailey Baldwin and Kim Kardashian, has sported pink hairdos. Neuropsychologist, Sanam Hafeez, told Allure that there is a bit of a science behind this color that has not only been popular during the pandemic, but is also trending this season.

"Pink represents all that we need in the world right now," Hafeez says, speaking of its calming effect. "As most of us lounge around in scruffy clothes like sweatshirts, sweatpants, little-to-no makeup, and messy hair, pink hair is a way of bringing out our softer side in a way that does not require everyday upkeep and is also not expensive."

Baby Blonde

Over the years (and even in recent months), some other trendy hair colors have been variations of blonde. We have seen bronde, golden blonde, ice blonde, platinum blonde ... but now, everyone is asking for baby blonde, according to Cosmopolitan.

L'Oréal Paris explains it well, as a shade that is "light in hue...with a tad more warmth," and a color that friends will deem, "envy-worthy," as seen in this example photo. It is amazing that there are so many different variants of one color, giving us all a chance to find out if blondes really do have more fun this spring season and beyond!
