How Season 2 Of Bridgerton Will Be Similar To Meghan And Harry's Story

Bridgerton may have dropped its first season on Netflix just a few short months ago, but fans are already hungry for more. Thankfully, the series was renewed for a second season, and we even know what some of that season will entail. While season 2 of Bridgerton won't focus on Daphne Bridgerton and her husband, the Duke of Hastings, we will see plenty of the couple and they'll be serving up some strong Meghan and Harry vibes.

Like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Daphne and her duke will be new parents in the upcoming season. "I really can't say too much nor would you expect me to, but... It's a new married life and they have the baby, so there are all the vagaries of what that is like for young people with a new baby," actress Adjoa Andoh, who plays Lady Danbury, told ET. "I mean Harry and Meghan, what's it like when you have a new baby? How does it affect you when [you are] a young couple with a new baby?"

Season 2 of Bridgerton will focus on Daphne's older brother, Anthony

Daphne will be a new mom in Bridgerton's second season, but we'll still see plenty of courtship going on as her older brother, Anthony Bridgerton, looks for a bride. Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony, told ET in a separate interview that the show's second season will "get more exciting and convoluted and sexier."

Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne, is looking forward to Daphne giving Anthony a hard time in the show's second season. "I want to see Daphne get involved in Anthony's love life a bit, as he sort of meddled with hers quite a lot," she told Elle. "I think that will be fun."

Another thing to look forward to in upcoming Bridgerton episodes is even more incredible costumes. "The detail, just the buttoning, the finish, the tailoring, the pucks and tucks," Andoh told ET. "It's just honestly, I think, I'm pitching it here, I really think there needs to be a whole show about the costuming just to salute those extraordinary costume makers. They are unbelievable!"
