Here's What Naima Mora From America's Next Top Model Is Doing Now
In 2005, Naima Mora made headlines as the winner of Cycle 4 of the hit modeling competition show, America's Next Top Model. The trained dancer, hailing from Detroit, Michigan, decided to audition for ANTM while attending the Dance Theater of Harlem for contemporary ballet and ended up winning the entire show (via New York Times).
At one point, Mora was signed to many agencies including Ford Models, Basic Models, 301 Model Management, and Paragon Models. However, as of April 2021, she is signed with EMG Models.
The ANTM alum also continued her runway work long after her competition show days. Mora has walked on many runways for ELLE Girl and Christopher Deane, though her homebase is editorial work. Some of Mora's most prominent work has been seen in Jute Magazine, LaPalme Magazine, Vogue Italia, Obvious Magazine, Bello, and Gia's Magazine. The star continues to model as of writing, having appeared in and the most recent issues of Malvie Magazine and Weekly Style Magazine. Modeling isn't the only thing she does though, as Mora has ventured down many avenues far from a runway.
Naima Mora has a few other talents up her fashionable sleeve
Soon after winning Cycle 4, the ANTM alum appeared in an episode of Veronica Mars as a character named Ms. Dumas. In fact, she is currently signed on for a drama film in pre-production titled Vs Electronic Dance (via IMDb). She's also the author of Model Behavior, a novel inspired by her experience in the fashion industry. Ten years after, she came out with a single called "Hour Glass" in 2015.
Mora is also passing on her industry knowledge to the next generation of runway stars with her free informational courses called Models Know-How and a podcast called Model Tips Live, where she discusses all the need-to-know modeling tips (via Insider). Along with many superstars, she's also on the rising app, Cameo, where people can get a personalized message from the international model. She updates her 88,000 Instagram followers on her newest modeling gigs and fans adore every single post.
Seriously, is there anything Mora can't do? Fans are excited which new avenue she'll take on while keeping an eye on her modeling editorials.
