Here's How Much Ariana DeBose Is Worth

Ariana DeBose is a rising star with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The 30-year-old got her start on Broadway in 2012 in "Bring It On: The Musical." Since then, she's been in "Motown: The Musical," "Pippin," "Hamilton," and "A Bronx Tale" (per IBDB). She also starred in Netflix's "The Prom" (via IMDb).

Her musical background will no doubt serve her well in her upcoming role as Anita in "West Side Story," the iconic character originally portrayed by Rita Moreno (via Movie Web). The Steven Spielberg remake of the musical is due out in December 2021.

DeBose has also reached fans with another aspect of her story. She identifies as queer and first came out when she was 13. "I was lucky that my mother was so supportive when I decided to have that conversation with her," she told Broadway Direct. "She said, 'Oh, that's great. Okay.'"

She also wrote about the experience in PopSugar, noting, "In that moment she taught me the meaning of unconditional love. I was proud of us both; me for my courage to speak up and my mother for her open-mindedness. There's no sin in telling the truth."

Ariana has a very hands-on approach to her career

Ariana DeBose is proud of the fact that she's been careful about the steps she's taken to build her career and that she has made a point to understand the business part of show business. "As much as I'm an artist, I consider myself a business person of sorts," she told Collider. "I made a very conscious decision to get to know the business of my business. And to me, that path was obvious."

DeBose also understands the importance of working hard for what she wants — while also staying true to herself. "If I was willing to work for it then, theoretically, I could achieve it," she said (via Collider). "So that's what I did, but there were many people who looked at me sideways and I've worked to change their minds. I don't know if I have. After a while you also learn you can't change everyone's mind. That's on them. But I lead with love and I just keep doing what I'm doing because it's working, and I'm proud of the work I'm doing and I have found the challenges I was looking for. And what I'm doing now? It ain't easy, but I'm so thrilled by it! It makes me want to get up in the morning."

Those strategic decisions have definitely paid off. NetWorth Post puts DeBose's net worth at $1.1 million — a number that is sure to rise, along with her stardom.
