Who Is Married At First Sight: Unmatchables Contestant Sam?

"Married at First Sight: Unmatchables" sees 16 previously rejected applicants of the original hit series return for a second chance at finding love, with the much-needed guidance of two relationship experts (via Us Weekly). Ahead of the show's debut, the cast of the reality spin-off was unveiled. But, what else is there to know about the new series? And who is Married at First Sight: Unmatchables contestant Sam?

According to Distractify, 29-year-old Sam is one half of the first same-sex couple in the franchise's history. He describes himself as being the "life of the party." However, in the past, he has prioritized his party-boy ways over a serious, long-term relationship. As Ebony reports, Sam is known to switch up his wild fashion sense and admits that his frequent mood swings have made it difficult for him to stay on track in both his personal and professional life. Sam also fears that he might be "too much to handle" to any potential partners. However, during his appearance on Married at First Sight: Unmatchables, this might be about to change.

Sam joins a cast of fellow unmatchable contestants

Sam was selected to appear on the Lifetime spin-off out of 65,000 "Married at First Sight" applicants, and he joins a diverse cast made up of singletons who are each at very different points in life. Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, the show's resident relationship experts, Pastor Cal and Dr. Viviana, discussed what they believe makes someone "unmatchable."

In the exclusive promo clip, Dr. Vivian explained that a person who is not willing to only date one person at a time is deemed unmatchable. "If you're not ready to be monogamous, you need to keep that expectation open and honest," she commented.

Elsewhere, Pastor Cal shared his view that a lack of maturity is also a clear sign that someone might be unmatchable, explaining, "If you still have those attitudes of, 'I want to party all the time,' you're gonna be unmatchable."

Throughout the duration of the new series, which welcomes back applicants from previous seasons, experts Cal and Viviana will attempt to turn 16 so-called unmatchable contestants into eight potential couples (via Toms Guide). This will hopefully be achieved through a combination of physical and personal journeys, as well as a series of romantic dates.
