Inside Chanel West Coast's Relationship With Steelo Brim

Sterling "Steelo" Brim and Chanel West Coast have been sitting alongside one another on episodes of Rob Dyrdek's "Ridiculousness" since the show premiered on MTV in 2011, per IMDb, but what is their relationship like off-screen? During an April 2015 interview on Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning" (via YouTube), Steelo was questioned about his thoughts on the often-ditzy reality star and rapper by hosts Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez, who first addressed a video of the 32-year-old getting kicked out of Coachella.

"That's her," Steelo, also 32, said with a laugh. Although Steelo said mostly nice things about his co-star throughout the interview, he did seem to throw a bit of shade in Chanel's direction when he suggested that while he knows he's not super famous, and appreciates whatever blessings come his way, other people think a bit more of themselves when it comes to how famous they actually are. "Some folks don't feel that way," he joked. "Some folks famous."

Steelo Brim says Chanel West Coast is like a sister

After the hosts then joked that Chanel West Coast may need to get "checked" from time to time, Steelo Brim admitted that he actually checks his "Ridiculousness" co-star quite frequently. "That's my little sister," he revealed. "I have to check her all the time." Because Steelo looks at himself as a brother figure to Chanel, he often finds himself upset at the massive amount of hate she receives on social media. "In my Twitter feed, I get so much hate for her and when I look at her comments, she gets the same hate. I'm like, 'How do you live with that hate?'" he shared. "She's a very sweet girl, very nice girl."

For those fans who were hoping for a romance between the two, it's not meant to be, as Steelo — although split from Conna Walker — appears to have a new love in his life, via HollywoodMask.

Who is Brim currently dating?

After Brim separated from his fiancée, Conna Walker, he has decided to keep his love life on a low profile. While he seems to be dating someone new, he hasn't posted about her on social media (per StillaBae). He spoke up about his new fling when a fan accused him of only dating white women on Twitter.

Brim responded to the accusation by writing, "Awwww [you] mad. And who do I date? My [girlfriend] is black but I'll wait," adding, "I got [you], I'll give [you] the response [you] want sweetie. Number 1, I support interracial Relationships for sure. We in 2020. I myself have been in 5 relationships. [One] interracial, 4 black women, and 1 white. Tried it and realized black women are where I feel most comfortable. Anything else?"

Nothing else is known at this time about his current girlfriend, not even her name or if they are still together (via HollywoodZam). However, these tweets do seem to put the nail in the coffin for a possible relationship with Chanel West Coast.

What does Chanel's love life look like?

Chanel West Coast has had more public relationships than Brim has, but she too seems to keep her dating life more lowkey than most celebs these days. According to Suggest, her longest relationship that unfolded in the public eye was with Liam Horne, a musician from Scotland. The pair were together from 2014 to 2017, giving us three years of red carpet PDA. While the details of their split are unknown, it seems Chanel chose to focus on her career and set her love life aside when she joined the cast of "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood."

While it seems she is single now, and definitely not dating Brim, she is looking to settle down. She took to Instagram in 2019, writing in a now-deleted post, "I do like being an independent woman, but I'm really sick of being held down in my career by everyone and their mother." She added, "Can a successful and powerful man marry me already so this industry can finally stop holding me down?" (via InTouch Weekly).

However, from looking through her social media pages, it seems the "Ridiculousness" star is still single.

What is it like for Brim and Chanel working together?

While Chanel and Brim are not dating, they are close friends working together on the set of MTV's hit show, "Ridiculousness." Recently, Chanel opened up about their experience shooting the show (per InTouch Weekly). "I think they'd be shocked to know how fast I change in between episodes and how fast we filmed them. We filmed six episodes in a day," she continued, "Like, if you ever see me looking a little extra tired, it's probably either the last episode of the day where I was just like, 'Forget the touch-up, let's get out of here.' Or it's the first episode of the day where I was still really tired."

While Rob Dyrdek, Chanel, and Brim are working hard to make you laugh, the way they get their videos for the show is one of the most interesting aspects (via Distractify). There is a whole team working behind the scenes, contacting creators of videos, and offering them money to feature their fall caught on camera on the show. While the many videos shown in each episode may look dangerous, thankfully, no one has died in the clips you've seen.

While Chanel and Brim may not be dating, they are good friends and continue to make fans laugh together on "Ridiculousness."
