The Truth About Olivia Plath's Career

Fans of "Welcome to Plathville" know Olivia Plath as the dedicated wife of Ethan Plath, eldest son and apple of his parents' eyes up until recently. The hit TLC show detailed how Ethan and Olivia broke free of the Plath fold in order to forge a path for themselves in the real world, filled with alcohol, tattoos, and travel. The drama-filled sophomore season of the show saw the happy young couple finding independence and happiness without Ethan's parents, Kim and Barry, looming over them.

Ethan works as a mechanic, his lifelong love of classic cars evident with each purchase and restoration. Olivia is similarly following her passion as an in-demand wedding photographer. Her Instagram followers will recognize her lively bio, "Traveling Photographer for Wild-at-Heart Lovers." The reality star frequently posts stunning shots of the nuptial celebrations she captures, and in early 2021, Olivia rebranded herself in an utterly empowering manner. Suffice to say, she's dedicated to her craft.

Olivia Plath rebranded her photography business to sell herself properly

As CheatSheet noted, Olivia Plath actually started out working in construction in a bid to gain some independence from her ultra-conservative family. Although she "got a lot of flack" in the male-dominated industry, Olivia was liberated by making her own money and learning important life skills, admitting she'd "never felt so empowered or confident in myself." Upon realizing her true passion was photography, the "Welcome to Plathville" star saved everything she earned from her day job to travel and photograph weddings, eventually going full time. Naturally, she has never looked back.

Season 2 of "Welcome to Plathville" saw the reality star revamping her photography website with the free time she'd gained due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2020, she took to Instagram to share her excitement over getting back to work since "everything is slowly opening back up." The following January, Olivia, who was initially encouraged to get into photography by her "Pop," shared a shot of her new, rebranded website on Instagram, enthusing, "Truly feeling so loved and proud of me and my team."

Her website details how the talented photographer's focus is on "capturing love and laughter." She gushed, "I wanted to stop time so that when someone looked at my photograph, they were transported back to that kiss, that embrace, that moment." The reality star passionately shared with potential clients, "Capturing your sweet memories has lit a fire within me and I don't ever want to stop."
