The Weird Sitting Rule All 90 Day Fiancé Women Have To Follow

Reality TV shows have long captured viewers' interest. From the comfort of their own homes, they can take a peek inside others' lives, from the rich and famous to the average Joe. One reason reality TV is so popular is the editing style of this genre. With quick transitions and heightened drama, it's the entertainment equivalent of fast food — quick, easy, and not always good for you.

One such show that has been immensely popular is TLC's "90 Day Fiancé." With multiple seasons available to watch on streaming services such as Hulu, it's been very easy for newcomers to jump in and quickly gobble up content. And with so many people binging rather than watching the seasons as they air, many have picked up on a strange habit that the women of "90 Day Fiancé" all seem to have in common — the awkward way they sit in confessionals (via ScreenRant).

The 90 Day Fiancé women sit with their knees up

According to ScreenRant, fans have been picking up on the awkward way the women have to sit on "90 Day Fiancé." Both knees seem to be touching and raised up to their chest every time they're sitting and talking during a confessional. Anfisa Arkhipchenko, one of the female stars of the show, wrote to a fan on Instagram claiming that the producers of the show make all the women sit this way (via E!Online).

At first glance, many fans felt that forcing the female cast members to sit this way was a bit on the creepy side (via InTouch Weekly). In fact, the awkward positioning can even come across to some as a bit exploitative. However, not everyone feels this way. According to InTouch Weekly, some fans speculated that sitting this way was a failed attempt to make the interviews feel like a casual conversation.

Fans will note that the women in "90 Day Fiancé" are often wearing short dresses during the confessionals and look anything but casual and comfortable during these interviews (via InTouch Weekly). Maybe it's time to let them sit how they want.
