Ewan McGregor Is Worth More Than You'd Expect

Ewan McGregor, known for his acting roles in "Star Wars," and "Doctor Sleep," is worth more than you might think. At 50, the Scottish, blue-eyed talent has built a Hollywood resume most actors strive for. Over the last 25 years, McGregor has brought a variety of characters to life on the silver screen, from heartthrob to holy man, and it's earned him both respect and an impressive paycheck(via Rolling Stone).

Impressive as his career may be, according to Hello!, McGregor was utterly elated when offered the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, stating at the time, "I've been waiting nearly 20 years to have my own light sabre. Nothing's cooler than being a Jedi knight."

Often praised for his versatility and range, McGregor has received a variety of awards including a BAFTA for his role in "Trainspotting," a Critics Choice Award for "Birds of Prey," and an MTV Movie Award for the muscial "Moulin Rouge!" (via IMDb).

Ewan McGregor has an impressive net worth

According to Taddlr, Ewan McGregor has an estimated net worth of $45 million. It's likely McGregor would be worth more, but his divorce from Eve Mavrakis, in 2020 meant splitting his movie and TV royalties, turning over the keys to his $6.62 million home in Los Angeles, and shelling out $14,934 per month in child support and $35,868 per month in spousal support (via Movie Web).  TMZ reports that McGregor does get to keep 30 of his beloved vintage cars, and as Men's Health notes, an upcoming series on Disney+, which will see the actor reprising his role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, is sure to bring in a hefty paycheck.

Ewan seems more motivated than ever to get back to work. Recently cast as the voice of Jiminy Cricket in the yet-to-be released film, "Pinocchio,"  an animated musical feature for Netflix, as well as an upcoming starring role in a comedy called "The Cow," McGregor's not hurting for work, and clearly has no intention of retiring anytime soon (via Variety and IMDb).
