Whatever Happened To Janine Mueller From My 600-Lb Life?

When she first appeared on "My 600-lb Life," Janine Mueller topped out at 629 pounds. Mueller finally took control of her life by traveling to Houston, Texas, to meet with surgeon and life-changer Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, aka Dr. Now, who immediately put her on his own strict diet and exercise plan, enabling the reality star to shed at least 100 pounds so she could qualify for weight loss surgery (via In Touch Weekly). Mueller struggled considerably, even gaining at one stage.

This ultimately led Dr. Now to admit Mueller into the hospital, so her eating habits could be monitored much more closely. This made all the difference. Mueller subsequently dropped over 100 pounds and was approved for a gastric balloon surgery. She weighed 566 pounds as the episode closed, but strived to lose even more and get super healthy. Now that her time on "My 600-lb Life" is in the rearview, has Mueller managed to continue on a healthier road?

Janine Mueller is enjoying being able to travel

As Starcasm notes, after appearing on a follow-up "Where Are They Now?" episode of "My 600-lb Life," Janine Mueller confirmed she would no longer be involved with the hit show. In a lengthy goodbye note posted to Facebook, she explained that her strong religious beliefs prevented her from continuing the journey and complained that the show had edited out all her references to God. Mueller was still living in Houston, however, after moving to be closer to Dr. Now. Impressively, judging by recent photos, Mueller has dropped a considerable amount of weight, reportedly getting down to 281 pounds at one point. Her boyfriend, Doug, however, is no longer an issue with Mueller. "I am no longer dating the man you saw on the show," she said (via Starcasm). In fact, they'd split before her episode even aired. Her cat, Prince, thankfully remains in good health and is providing necessary support to his beloved owner.

According to Starcasm, Mueller was much more mobile than she was during "My 600-lb Life" and even planned to finally get her knee replacement surgery. She also celebrated traveling without requiring a seatbelt extender on the airplane, sharing pics looking happy and comfy with Facebook fans. Mueller is also enjoying an exciting career as an executive for Paparazzi Accessories, per The Cinemaholic. By all appearances, it would seem that Mueller is a "My 600-lb Life" success story and has really turned her life around.
