90 Day Fiance: This Is Brandon Gibbs' Day Job
Brandon Gibbs from "90 Day Fiancè" and Julia Trubkina are easily one of the most liked couples in the franchise, half because of their relationship and half because of Gibb's overbearing parents, Betty and Ron Gibbs. As noted by The Progress-Index, the couple was showcased in Season 8. While fans worried if they would make it down the aisle, they eventually succeeded in tying the knot.
But TLC fans watched as Julie started to expect caviar dreams on a Twinkies budget. The duo are complete opposites, with Julie hailing from Russia with a go-go dancing background and Brandon getting down and dirty on the family farm. So since his wife wanted to live the lifestyle of the rich and famous, which included a possible move to Las Vegas, many fans wondered how the American could support a wife with such expensive taste, especially since she can not legally work or contribute to the family bank account until she has a green card (per Monsters and Critics).
Brandon Gibbs terminates pests for a living
Most fans would have quickly assumed that Brandon Gibbs was a farmhand on the family farm, Hummingbird Acres Farm located in Dinwiddie, Virginia, but they would be wrong (via The Progress-Index). Even though the 90 Day Fiancè cameras followed him around as he fed pigs, scooped poop, and trained dogs this early to bed early to rise, the reality TV star actually has a 9-5 job as a full-time pest control technician. The TLC personality just likes to give his folks a hand since he lives off their dime.
During his introductory episode of "90 Day Fiancé," Brandon told the cameras that he chose his career because he's not a fan of being in a cubicle all day, saying, "I like the job cause every day it's something different, and I don't have to be stuck in an office all day. I get to go places and see all kinds of new stuff."
While fans might be a little creeped out by his line of work, Brandon seems more than happy crawling into people's basements to hunt down the creepy crawlies.
Brandon Gibbs is crushing his career
Thankfully for Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina, they have done well with their success. It does not look like they will be struggling to pay their bills any time soon, especially since the spin-off "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?" showed Brandon being offered a promotion with the option of moving to Richmond, Virginia (per TV Insider).
Julia was also seen on the show stressing over her upcoming green card interview. If the meeting goes well, she will be able to become a permanent resident and finally have more of a say in their life together. If anything, a green card would at least mean the aspiring wedding planner and designer will no longer have to jump into the pigpen and feed the chickens, which is a small win for farmhands everywhere.
Many TLC stars decide to earn money on their social media platforms, but for now, it looks like Brandon and Julia are going to make money the old-fashioned way, by actually earning it.
