Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas just took a big step in their relationship. The "This Is Us" actor first met the actress on the set of "The Young and The Restless" back in 2015, while Hartley was starring as fan-favorite character Adam Newman and Pernas was portraying Marisa Sierras (via Us Weekly). The duo starred together briefly, but Hartley was married to actress Chrishell Stause – who has a surprising net worth — at the time. Stause joined the soap for a short arc just weeks after Pernas left the show. Hartley, Pernas, and Stause all appeared to be friends following their soap opera stints and would even interact with one another's posts on social media. In November 2019, Hartley stunned fans when he filed for divorce from Stause.
The divorce was also shocking to Stause, who opened up about the split on her reality series "Selling Sunset." In a clip from the show, Stause tells her friends, "I'm just kind of in shock with it all. It's just a lot all at once because everybody in the whole world knows. I love him so much. The pair attended the MTV Movie & TV Awards together on Sunday, May 16, 2021. The duo was arm and arm as Hartley sported a pair of navy blue slacks and a light blue collared shirt with a dark jacket over top. Meanwhile, Pernas stole the show in a strapless orange gown. However, their wardrobe wasn't what caught the eyes of fans, per Page Six. Both Hartley and Pernas were spotted wearing bands on their left ring fingers. Pernas rocked a slim diamond sparkler on her hand, while the "This Is Us" star also sported a ring on his finger, fueling marriage rumors.
Of course, this isn't the first time that the couple has created buzz about a possible engagement or secret wedding. Earlier in May 2021, Hartley and Pernas were spotted enjoying a date in Malibu while both wearing rings on their left hand. Hartley rocked a red band around his finger, and Pernas opted for a silver ring as they spent time with friends on the beach. However, neither party has commented on the marriage rumors thus far.
