Kim Kardashian is single for the first time in years, but is she ready to mingle? The mother-of-four filed for divorce from her longtime love, Kanye West, in early 2021. The couple first met back in 2003 through their mutual friend, singer Brandy. Kardashian was married to her first husband, Damon Thomas, at the time (via Insider). The pair developed a friendship that lasted for years, and the rapper even helped her evolve her style. "Kanye and I have been good friends for a long time. He's someone that we definitely respect his fashion taste and his style," Kardashian said during an episode of "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" in 2010. The pair seemed flirty when West appeared on the show. However, Kardashian was married to her second husband NBA player Kris Humphries at that time. The marriage only lasted a few months before the reality star filed for divorce.
In 2012, West rapped about being in love with Kardashian. That same month the couple were spotted in public together. By the end of the year, the pair that the media dubbed "Kimye" confirmed that they were expecting their first child together. North West was born in June 2013. The pair married in May 2014 and went on to welcome three more children, sons Saint and Palm, and daughter Chicago. The KKW Beauty founder is reportedly working on herself and enjoying time with her family following her split with the father of her children. "She's still not ready to date, but she's in a much better place than she was a year ago. She's letting the past go and throwing herself into work and the kids," an insider told Hollywood Life of Kardashian's love life.
Meanwhile, Page Six reports that Kardashian's friends have been trying to hook her up following her divorce filing. "People are reaching out through mutual friends and people that she's worked with to set her up with everyone from royal family members to A-list actors to athletes to billionaire CEOs. People are also trying to reach out to her via DM," the informant dished.
Meanwhile, Kardashian and West are still learning to navigate their divorce. Sources tell People that things have been going well and that they're focused on their children at this time. "Kim and Kanye are getting along. They have both stayed true to their commitment to make the best situation for the kids. Kim is very happy that they have managed to keep things calm. She thinks Kanye is a good dad. She wants him to be able to spend as much time with the kids as he wants," the insider revealed.
