Jennifer Aniston Shares Sweet Birthday Tribute To Courteney Cox's Daughter

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox played best friends Rachel Green and Monica Geller on the hit NBC series "Friends," and in real life, they are just as tight as Rachel and Monica.

The duo met on the set of the iconic series, and have cultivated a friendship that has spanned decades, and even outlasted their marriages (via Cheat Sheet). Cox previously said of her bestie, per E! News, "We just have fun, we laugh, we're inseparable and it's great."

For her part, Aniston says that Cox is a good and loyal friend, who has helped get her through some tough times. "There's absolutely no judgment in Court," Aniston told More Magazine. "You'll never feel scolded. She's extremely fair, ridiculously loyal, and fiercely loving."

The "Murder Mystery" star added, "I've slept in her guest bedroom a lot. Without giving away too much of my private stuff, all I can say is she's been there for me through thick and thin."

The two friends are so close that when Cox gave birth to her daughter, Coco, with ex-husband David Arquette in 2004 that she asked Aniston to be the child's godmother (via The Things). Of course, being Coco's godmother is a role that Aniston appears to take seriously.

Jennifer is a proud godmother to Courtney's daughter

Courteney Cox's daughter, Coco Arquette celebrated her 17th birthday in June 2021. Of course, Cox went all out on social media to dote over her only child by sharing throwback photos of the teenager, per People Magazine

"Happy 17th birthday to my strong, sensitive, creative, loving, soulful, beautiful, talented, and wise Coco. I love you so much," Cox captioned alongside photos of her little girl. However, it wasn't long before Arquette's godmother, Jennifer Aniston also joined in the fun.

Aniston also decided to share some throwback snaps of herself and Arquette, including one precious pic of the actress holding Arquette in her arms as the wind whips through their hair and they smile widely at each other. "Happy Birthday my sweet Cocolicious! Godmama LOVES you," Aniston captioned the pic, adding a red heart emoji. A second snap featured Aniston and Cox smiling for the camera as little Arquette slept between them.

In the past, Aniston has shown her love for the teen online. In March 2020, Cox shared a clip of herself playing the piano while Arquette belted out the words to Demi Lovato's "Anyone." Aniston was quick to share her pride for her goddaughter's talent. "Coco! You're growing up way too fast or am I protecting? I love you deep," Aniston commented on the video, per Hello! Magazine. It appears that Aniston and Cox's friendship has blossomed into something beautiful over the years, and the two are now more like family than friends.
