"Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" has been on the air since 2006, and each season showcases a bevy of beautiful, breathtaking homes sold by some of the biggest names in real estate (via IMDb). Among these names is Josh Altman, who has been on the series since 2011. Now a decade into his career on the show, Altman is selling some of the most expensive homes in the world. But just who is this celebrity real estate agent?
According to his Instagram bio, Altman is Los Angeles' "#1 Realtor," but he's also a speaker and best-selling author. Altman has written two books — 2015's "It's Your Move: My Million Dollar Method for Taking Risks with Confidence and Succeeding at Work and Life" and 2019's "The Altman Close: Million-Dollar Negotiating Tactics from America's Top-Selling Real Estate Agent."
Before he became a best-selling author from Los Angeles, Altman spent his life on the East Coast. He was raised in Newton, Massachusetts, and attended college at Syracuse University. It was after college that Altman made his cross-country jump to kick start his career (via The Altman Brothers' website). As his success grew, so did his media coverage. Altman went on to be featured in Forbes, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and many other high-profile publications.

After his career kicked off, Josh Altman became one of the best real estate agents in the world. In fact, according to Bravo, which airs "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles," Altman is in the top 1% of real estate agents worldwide based on property sales. They say he's sold over $4 billion in real estate over the course of his career. In 2019 alone, Altman sold $560 million worth of residential real estate. The following year, he topped even his own standards and sold $585 million worth of real estate (via The Altman Brothers' website).
Altman's success in 2019 extended past his sales, too. It was then that he opened his stand alone real estate office in Los Angeles, according to Bravo. He opened the office with his brother, Matt Altman — the two are always taking younger real estate professionals under their wings to help them succeed like they have.
With his business ventures continuously growing on the West Coast, Altman has found himself a home in Beverly Hills. There, he and his wife, Heather, are building their family alongside his career. They currently have two children named Alexis and Ace, per Bravo.
