Prince William and Kate Middleton's oldest son, Prince George, is growing up fast, which means he's learning the ins and outs of the royal family. "Kate and William are open to sending George to boarding school in the future and have already checked out a few, but they feel 8 is a little young and want to wait until he's slightly older," an insider told Us Weekly, adding, "They'd never force George to go unless he wants to and they feel it's right." Meanwhile, George is said to be "keen" on the idea of boarding school, even though he's very happy at his current school, St. Thomas' Battersea.
Of course, parenting a young prince is no easy feat, and William and Kate are said to be a bit worried when it comes to their son's future.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly nervous about what the future holds for Prince George as he grows up in a new era, which includes a lightning-fast news cycle as well as social media. "The Cambridges feel it's necessary to shield George, Charlotte, and Louis from the spotlight and have become cautious about the appearances [they] make. Kate and William are being more selective about the events he attends," the insider continued. The source also revealed that William and Kate are looking to adapt their parenting style to fit a more modern era.
The couple are said to be "moving away from [the] mentality" of the "stiff upper lip," which has been a theme throughout the royal family for generations. Instead, the Cambridges are trying to take a "modern approach" and focus on "open communication" with their children. It seems that William and Kate are doing all they can to keep their children safe as they prepare George for the very important role that he'll inherit later on in life.
