When will the 5th season of Siesta Key premiere on MTV?

Last month, MTV released a promotional video that announced the arrival of the 5th season of "Siesta Key," which is due to premiere on the channel on Thursday, March 10. In the teaser trailer, it's clear that the 5th season promises quite dramatic twists and turns. Since the channel has not released any other information about the 5th season, simply judging from the scenes featured in the teaser trailer, the upcoming season will at least cover the tumultuous end of Juliette Porter and Sam Logan's relationship; Chloe Trautman's whirlwind romance with her brand new husband, Chris Long; Madisson Hausburg's wedding planning efforts; and the personal and professional hardships faced by Kelsey Owens.

The season might also focus on the tension building between Porter and Owens over their warring swimsuit lines, along with other drama that ensued in the show's reunion, which featured the bombshell announcement that Hausburg was pregnant with her 1st child, according to Herald-Tribune. "This summer in the Key is about change, growing up, finding yourself, and deciding who you want to hold close ... and who you've outgrown," the season's synopsis says, per People.

Who will appear in the 5th season of the show?

While no official cast list has been released, according to the Herald-Tribune, cast members Juliette Porter, Kelsey Owens, Chloe Trautman, Madisson Hausburg, Garrett Miller, Brandon Gomes, Amanda Miller, and Sam Logan are set to return for the 5th season. According to The Cinemaholic, the 4th season of the show featured primary cast members Juliette Porter, Madisson Hausburg, Brandon Gomes, Kelsey Owens, Garrett Miller, Amanda Miller, and Sam Logan. This casting in the 4th season proved to fare far better for the show than casting in prior seasons. According to Variety, during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, MTV decided to part ways with former primary cast member Alex Kompothecras after old Instagram posts of his resurfaced in which he was captured shooting a shark, dragging a live shark behind a boat, and engaging in generally racist and fatphobic behavior.

Here's what we know about Sam Logan and Juliette Porter's breakup

At the end of the 4th season of "Siesta Key," Juliette Porter and Sam Logan moved in together and their relationship appeared to be rock solid. Ahead of the premiere of Season 4 in May 2021, Porter revealed to E! News that she had been dating Logan for just over a year. "We're very happy," Porter told E! News. "We've been dating for about a year and a couple months now and as perfect as I'd like to think we are, we definitely have some bumps in the road and you'll see that unfold whether our issues are other girls in the picture, exes, or friends."

In August 2021, it seemed as though Porter had been foreshadowing the trouble to come in their relationship, as Logan confirmed that the pair had called it quits in the comments of an old Instagram post. "She's an amazing person some things just don't work out and being in the public eye def doesn't help," Logan responded to comments inquiring about the relationship and even criticizing Porter, per People.

Since calling it quits, Porter has posted several photos on Instagram with a new man on her arm, Clark Drum. Porter has yet to confirm if she is actually dating Drum. For his part, it appears as though Logan is still single.
