Why Rumors Are Swirling About Welcome To Plathville's Olivia And Ethan
For Ethan and Olivia Plath of TLC's "Welcome To Plathville," nothing has come easy. A majority of their issues stemmed from the drama between Ethan and his parents (per People). The family is very religious and anyone who strays from their beliefs gets treated differently. There has been a rift between the parents and their son that has led to the family no longer being on speaking terms.
From there, things have continued to go downhill for Ethan. Olivia wanted to take a break from her husband (via Screen Rant). She shared on camera that she wanted to take a break so Ethan could figure out what he really wanted, but Ethan was completely caught off guard.
"I can't make sense of it, it doesn't make sense." Ethan shared, while Oliva replied, "I've lived with you for over two years, and I wasn't what you wanted then, what you wanted then was this house and that job and those cars and this lifestyle."
It didn't look good for the couple during the third season of the show, which aired back in August. Now, fans are even more concerned for the Plaths as rumors about their relationship begin to swirl.
Are things improving for the Plaths?
The young Plath's have been upfront about their marital problems. According to Screen Rant, they have been seeing a counselor while filming the show in hopes to help their damaged marriage. On Instagram, Olivia shared videos to her story of the couple on a date together at a park, playing games, and talking about their upcoming wedding anniversary. This left fans confused, as they believed it wasn't an accurate representation of the status of their relationship.
These posts come at an interesting time as Ethan has allegedly placed their home on the market. "I'm putting the house on the market because I've come to the place in my life where I realize that getting out of Cairo is going to be a good thing for me," he shared (via Us Weekly).
Many fans believed this was a sign that they were officially divorcing, but Ethan continued, "I think Olivia will appreciate the fact I'm kind of taking initiative to get the place sold," he shared. "I hope it will be a positive step for us moving forward." So, maybe the pair are making it work after all!
