What We Know About Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker's Engagement

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have garnered tons of media attention with their whirlwind romance. The reality star and the Blink 182 drummer definitely have fans interested in their relationship, as they've made no secret about their feelings for each other by stepping out together at major events, taking romantic vacations, and flaunting some serious PDA on social media (via Us Weekly). The couple first sparked dating rumors in January 2021 when they began getting flirty on Instagram. The following month, they confirmed their romance by sharing a snapshot of themselves holding hands.

The duo's relationship took off from there. They began sharing photos of themselves on vacations, as well as spending time with each other's families and with their celebrity besties, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox (via The Sun). However, in October 2021, the pair took a huge step in their relationship when Barker got down on one knee and officially asked Kardashian to be his wife, per Page Six.

Travis Barker planned a special proposal for Kourtney Kardashian

According to E! Online, Kourtney Kardashian was completely surprised by Travis Barker's proposal. Sources tell the outlet that Barker popped the question at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel the weekend of October 17, 2021, as the locale holds a special place in their hearts. "It happened during the sunset at Rosewood Miramar," the source stated. "They had just got back from NYC and decided to do a day trip to Montecito. Kourtney thought it was going to be a casual day, as they always go to Rosewood, and she was totally thrown off."

Barker reportedly took Kardashian to dinner at Nobu before bringing her to the hotel. He later proposed on the beach surrounded by hundreds of roses, per Us Weekly. "Travis spent forever getting the details right," an insider told the magazine. "Kourtney was very surprised at the timing. They both have talked about their wedding and engagement before but Kourtney was very surprised."

Cameras were rolling on the big moment

In addition, it appears that fans will get to see the sweet moment when Travis Barker asked Kourtney Kardashian to be his wife. Us Weekly reports that cameras were rolling at the time and that it's likely to be shown on the Kardashian family's upcoming reality TV series for Hulu. "The engagement was filmed for the new Hulu series, it's going to look amazing," the insider confirmed.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Kardashian proposal if other members of the family weren't there to witness it. E! Online reports that the Poosh founder's sisters, Khloé and Kim Kardashian, were in attendance to see the proposal, as well as her mother, Kris Jenner, and Jenner's longtime boyfriend, Corey Gamble. "They were all in on it and surprised them afterwards inside the hotel. They are all celebrating in the restaurant and have a private area," a source confessed.

This will be the first marriage for Kourtney Kardashian, who previously dated Scott Disick for 10 years, and with whom she shares three children together: Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Meanwhile, this will be the third trip down the aisle for Barker, who was previously married to Melissa Kennedy and model Shanna Moakler. Moakler and Barker share two children together, Alabama and Landon.

Fans couldn't be happier for Kardashian and Barker, and can't wait to see all the wedding details unfold.
