Rumors And Spoilers About Michelle Young's Bachelorette Season

Caution: Spoilers ahead for Season 18 of "The Bachelorette."

There are two types of people who watch "The Bachelorette" — those who avoid spoilers for the entire season, and those who dig up the spoilers before the first episode even airs. Whichever category you're in, we're not here to judge. In fact, we're prepared to make things a little easier for you. If you like getting the juicy details before diving into the reality series, stay tuned. We've got them all.

Michelle Young's season of "The Bachelorette" started off with the regular glam, drama, and awkwardness that we'd expect. Fansided reminded us that hosts Tayshia and Kaitlyn went through contestant Ryan's documents in his hotel rooms. They found instructions on "how not to be a villain" on the series and "how to get more screen time," which didn't put Ryan in the best light. It wasn't too surprising that he didn't make it to the finale.

But who did? If you're as curious as we are, you're probably craving the instant satisfaction of finding out. Keep reading to reveal the gossip. But if you hate spoilers, stop reading here!

Michelle and the cast traveled to Minnesota

By now, most of us know that the first part of Season 18 was filmed at The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California, per Style Caster. The resort was definitely one of the better ones on the show. It came with farm-to-table food, a golf course, a spa, and multiple pools.

But unlike the past few seasons restricted by COVID-19, Michelle Young's filming locations don't stop there. Reality Steve revealed that the first four episodes were filmed in California. Then, Michelle and her 12 remaining contestants traveled to Minnesota. The first location in Minnesota was the Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis. When the contestants dwindled down even further, Michelle and the remainder of her cast stayed at the Semple Mansion in Minneapolis. All of this took place before fantasy suites.

Though Reality Steve couldn't confirm all 12 contestants who went to Minnesota, he could confirm a select few. In fact, he spilled the beans on the final four for Michelle's season.

Hometown dates were a go

According to Distractify, Michelle Young's "Bachelorette" season will be one of the most normal ones we've seen in recent years. A lot of the COVID-19 restrictions that altered the past few seasons didn't apply to Michelle's. For example, hometown dates didn't happen on Matt James' season of "The Bachelor" and Katie Thurston's and Tayshia Adams' seasons of "The Bachelorette."

However, Michelle reportedly went on four hometown dates, bringing a sense of normalcy back to the reality series. The hometown dates likely brought back a personal side to the final contestants. Plus, fans have always loved seeing the families of contestants.

Heavy reported that a person on Reddit revealed the final four. The mysterious Reddit user was on a plane with four men from the season, and was able to identify them as "The Bachelorette" contestants. Those contestants included Brandon Jones, Rodney Mathews, Joe Coleman, and Nayte Olukoya. As pointed out by Heavy, that means the top four contestants will all be people of color for the first time in "Bachelorette" history.

Reality Steve confirmed the final two contestants and who won

Of course, revealing the final four wasn't enough for Reality Steve. He explained in a recent post that he's stayed away from Bachelor Nation gossip for the past five months. However, he came back with more gossip than ever when multiple anonymous tips helped him piece together the final two contestants on Michelle Young's season.

Those two final guys turned out to be Brandon Jones and Nayte Olukoya. Reality Steve figured it out by comparing sneaky snapshots he received over a month ago of Michelle and a mysterious man on a beach for the second-to-last episode. However, the contestant had his back to the camera. When "The Bachelorette" released a promo that included a scene of Michelle and the man on the beach, Reality Steve realized it was Brandon.

Though Brandon made it to the final two, he reportedly wasn't Michelle's top pick. Spoilers revealed that Michelle chose Nayte instead. Whether you like him or not, you must admit that it makes sense. Nayte received the first impression rose in the very first episode, and he seemed to swoop Michelle off her feet, via Fansided.

Better yet, Reality Steve spilled even more beans: Michelle and Nayte are currently engaged. Fans are ecstatic. "Nayte winning," user @albcanada wrote on Twitter alongside a very appropriate GIF. "My boy Nayte got the first impression rose and the first kiss! LET'S GO!" user @chichidehaan added. Nayte is here to stay, and everyone seems thrilled.
