Royal Fans Were Raving Over Kate Middleton's COP26 Fall Look

The U.K. is hosting this year's United Nations climate conference in Glasgow, where countries involved in the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change come together to discuss further actionable steps. The COP26, as it's called (Conference of the Parties), will be taking place over the span of two weeks where goals like reducing emissions, protecting natural habitats and promising funding will be addressed (via COP26).

Kate Middleton and Prince William, who are already involved in their own environmental endeavors, are obviously taking a prime seat at the table. Prince William wrote on Twitter, "#COP26 is a landmark moment for the future of our planet. I'm proud that our @EarthshotPrize Finalists will be joining me in Glasgow to show the world that there is reason to be optimistic." As a part of their visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with Scouts to learn more about their #PromiseToThePlanet campaign, per Twitter. Kate Middleton showed up in a recycled ensemble fit for the occasion and we're obsessed.

Considering Kate Middleton is the joint president of the Scouts Association (via The Observer), it makes sense that the first thing on the Glasgow agenda would be to visit the youth organization along with Prince William. The royals had a packed day as they scattered wildflower seed bombs with the Scouts (via Twitter), crafted sustainable meals and learned more about the #PromiseToThePlanet initiative (via Twitter).

For the event, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a quilted khaki vest from Ganni, made with recycled polyester and paired it with a black turtleneck and skinny jeans (via Vogue UK). As a celebrity who doesn't shy away from rewearing her closet, the royal brought back her See By ChloƩ boots, which she wore in 2019 (via Footwear News). She also wore earrings from Daniella Draper, a brand that makes its jewelry from recycled gold (via Twitter). We're channeling this simple fall look until winter comes but we're staying tuned to see more Kate Middleton looks and COP26 updates.
